UPDATE: On February 27, 2025, Chris Gibbs’ new Union LA Jordan 1—which combines the renowned “Chicago” and “Shadow” colourways—will launch for $200 USD at www.unionjordan2025.com. But somewhere in the middle of March, a SNKRS app release is also anticipated. Stay tuned for additional information on the sneaker’s March release, and be sure to view images of the sneaker below.

ORIGINAL ARTICLE: Another day, another exciting addition to Jordan Brand’s 2025 sneaker lineup! With the Jumpman label pulling out all the stops for next year’s releases, fans have even more to be excited about, especially with another collaboration with Union LA set for the Air Jordan 1 High OG silhouette. What makes this design so promising is its anticipation to follow in the highly acclaimed footsteps of their 2018 release.

A Closer Look At The Sneaker

While the sneaker’s promising colour palette of “Varsity Red/Black/Sail/Shadow Grey/Muslin” has sneakerheads buzzing with anticipation for a possible “Chicago/Shadow” follow-up to the 2018 Union LA X AJ1 collaboration, there’s no official word yet on what the design will entail. However, with Jordan Brand bringing back beloved colourways and collaborations from the archives for next year’s releases, it’s entirely possible that fans might just get their wish.

For those new to Union LA’s 2018 collaboration with Jordan Brand, it was a nostalgic nod to deconstructing Jordan 1 sneakers to refurbish original pairs. Consequently, each sneaker from that collab featured a blend of two beloved OG colourways and distinctive zig-zag stitching that complemented the shoe’s theme.

Although the creative direction for the upcoming collab hasn’t been confirmed, sneaker insiders speculate that we could see a hopeful mix of the beloved “Chicago” and “Shadow” colourways on this upcoming pair.

For now, you can check out some speculative mockups below to get a glimpse of what this anticipated colourway might look like, but be sure to stay tuned for official images in the coming months.

Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High OG Release Details

Although many details about this pair are still under wraps, we do know that the Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High is set to debut on February 12, 2025. Sneakerheads will have a chance to grab a pair through Union Los Angeles’ online store and Nike SNKRS at a retail price of $200 USD in men’s sizes.

But there’s more to look forward to from the AJ1 in 2025. Keep an eye out for Swarovski’s high-top and low-top crystal-encrusted versions of the classic silhouette, plus new “Velvet Brown” and “Sail/Shy Pink” colourways from Travis Scott.

Until then, be sure to stay tuned to Sneaker Fortress for more sneaker drops and reviews.
