House of the Dragon is about to return for a second season. What better way to watch your favourite series than in a pair of custom sneakers? Get ready to watch the first episode of House of the Dragon season 2 in your custom Air Jordan 1 sneakers.

Unfortunately, and possibly for now, these are purely a concept sneaker. Our favourite designer at Fortress of Solitude, Brandon Krige, has been working his magic since news broke about the second season of the HBO show and has come up with a stunning pair of Air Jordan 1 sneakers. Let’s take a look, shall we?

Starting from the bottom, the rubber outsole is a beautiful greenish-grey reminiscent of the greys seen throughout House of the Dragon and Game of Thrones. The outsole is immediately complemented by a beautiful parchment-coloured midsole. This colour makes a person think of scrolls or maps that one might use to learn about or travel to Westeros.

The colours of the upper are gorgeous. The colourway is gold and green, which doesn’t make you think of a banner from any of the Targaryen houses you might recognise; it is the new banner of King Aegon II Targaryen. According to ScreenRant, his banner is green and gold, the green to represent his Targaryen faction and the gold for his gorgeous dragon Synfyre.

Starting with the base of the upper that makes up the perforated toe box, the collar, and most of the quarter. The quarter features a beautiful golden check mark with a barely perceptible scale pattern. It also features a stunning image of the golden dragon behind the Nike Swoosh on the quarter of the sneaker.

Every part of the overlay panels is a darker green colour with intricate patterns debossed into the lather in an even darker green. This makes up the tip, the mudguard, the lace stays, the heel counter, and the panel that wraps around the ankle. The intricate designs give the sneakers a regal and fantasy feel, letting prospective wearers feel like they are part of the royal family of Westeros.

This pair’s laces are also stunning, coming in a greenish grey like the outsole. The texture of the laces is a stunning weave that looks like a snake weaving through the eye stays, further pushing the idea of this pair of sneakers being connected to a serpent. The tongue of the sneakers is a plain plush material that is a matching shade.

Lastly, the tongue tag is gold, matching the Nike Swoosh and the dragon, and so is the Air Jordan Wings logo that is debossed into the collar panel. Any decorative stitching around the sneaker perfectly matches the element it is a part of.

These might just be a concept for now, but it doesn’t stop these House of the Dragon Air Jordan 1 sneakers from being the perfect sneakers to watch the House of the Dragon season 2 premiere.
