One of the most widely-anticipated collaborations from the past few months has finally been revealed. A few official images of the upcoming pair of Jarritos x Nike SB Dunk Low. This pair is expected to revitalise the SB Dunk Low’s dominance in 2023. Nike is determined to continue its collaborations with obscure yet compelling partners to bring new and exciting sneakers to its stores.
The Jarritos x Nike SB Dunk Low
The new collaborative sneakers have just released their first official look at the upcoming pair. And it also reveals that it is hiding a little secret. The sneakers have a unique feature: much of the upper layer can be cut away to reveal awesome mandarin orange underneath.
Most of the shoe is dominated by crisp white leather. This includes the toe box midfoot panel and heel. The midsole is also predominantly white with an orange stripe of thread that matches the rest of the green and orange decals of the Jarritos brand.
The rest of the upper is covered in tan-coloured burlap, with the Jarrito’s jug insignia close to the heel. There is also a green-tinted midfoot Swoosh, contrasting with the rest of the neutral-tone surroundings. Both the burlap and the material of the Swoosh can be cut away to reveal the dark mandarin orange beneath.
The Jarritos-inspired Nike SB logos on the tongue and heel tabs match the vibrant green and orange combination. The outsole is mostly the same dark tint as the Swoosh, with a subtle stripe of mandarin orange, perfectly matching the colour that can be revealed beneath.

Cut Away Design
The shoes come with a precision knife in the box with the shoes. These are the perfect tools to rip away the tan burlap and reveal the vibrant orange suede underlays. The bright orange pours out from behind the Mexican brand’s jug insignia.
The box also comes equipped with the choice between green and orange laces, allowing you to match the green Swoosh if you leave the sneakers as they are or check the laces to the mandarin orange peeking through if you decide to disassemble them as you like.
Incredibly, Nike is collaborating with lesser-known brands and designers, and even more incredible that they are creating customisable sneakers. So, if you decide to get creative with your cut-outs, you could have a unique pair that no one else in the world would have. Furthermore, there is a massive market for customising Nike shoes, so you can have an amazing pair for the price of just the typical shoe.
Luckily, the sneakers have an expected release date of 1 April 2023. Although they are coming out on April Fool’s Day, I assure you that these fantastic shoes are no prank. Keep your eyes peeled for retail pricing and if any of the information for the release date changes.
