Can anyone see a trio of white, purple, and green scattered across a sneaker and not instantly think, “Joker?” Over the years, we have had the distinct pleasure of seeing the iconic rogue’s distinctive palette spread across a range of Nike designs. Whether it’s the Kobe 5 “Chaos Joker” or the Air Jordan 3 Retro “Joker,” there’s no shortage of striking sneakers available that draw inspiration from the infamous villain (albeit loosely). Naturally, we’re always eager to see fresh takes on the villain’s theme in Nike’s catalogue. Thankfully, someone down in Oregon feels the same way, as suggested by the upcoming “Joker” Nike Dunks.

A Closer Look at the Sneakers

As heartbreaking as it might sound, this is not an in-your-face, ‘DC meets Nike’ venture (although we’re still crossing our fingers for that someday). Unfortunately, this means we won’t see Joker’s iconic grin or logo anywhere on these kicks. Nevertheless, the very present purple and green hues echo the presence of the legendary rogue, giving more weight to the Joker concept than any other previous Nike offerings.

The design starts with a backdrop of “Daybreak,” a softly faded shade of purple that blends beautifully with the overlying white suede, dubbed “Phantom.” It’s almost impossible not to be reminded of the Joker’s iconic purple suit paired with his ghostly white face paint when you look at this colour combo.

Next, the signature Nike Swooshes adorning the side and the “Nike” branding at the heel are presented in a vibrant “Bicoastal” green. This richly saturated shade beautifully echoes the Joker’s iconic green waistcoat and his unruly hair. As a finishing touch, the “Burnt Sunrise” or red-stained purple laces effortlessly tie together the symbolic “Joker” imagery.

This cleverly thought-out upper sits atop a “Sesame” midsole and purple rubber outsole that complete the stylish look. With every detail meticulously planned out, these sneakers are a must-have for any fan of the iconic comic book villain. But hey, even if you aren’t a fan of Batman’s most mischievous archnemesis, this mix of colour and texture on the Nike Dunk Low makes a bold statement that will add a unique touch to any sneaker collection.

Joker Nike Dunks Release Details

Unfortunately, we can’t provide you with an exact release date for the “Joker” Nike Dunks as of yet. However, expect an update in the next couple of weeks, as the release is planned for Spring 2024. Once released, these stunning shoes will be available on Nike.com and at selected Nike retailers.

"Joker" Nike Dunk Low

But hold on, there’s some potentially disappointing news for the gents: the Nike Dunk Low “Joker” is reportedly a women’s exclusive release, costing $155 USD in women’s sizes. This seems to be somewhat of a trend, as another Joker-themed Nike Dunk Low in “White/Stadium Green/Fuchsia Dream” is also set to release in women’s sizes in Spring 2024. So, it seems the ladies who love their Joker kicks have a lot to look forward to this year.

However, these details aren’t concrete, so there may still be a surprise in store. In the meantime, keep an eye out for updates on all upcoming sneaker releases and exclusive sneak peeks, particularly those inspired by cherished pop culture themes.
