The Jordan 17 made a welcome comeback to the sneaker scene in 2024, and despite the model’s hefty price tag, units quickly sold out. As the Jumpman Label celebrates its 40th anniversary, Jordan Brand appears to be building on the silhouette’s popularity by working with Infinite Archives to release a collection of Air Jordan 17 Lows.
A Closer Look At The Sneaker
The first pair from the collaboration is a “Beach” colourway seen on the feet of Infinite Archives own Easy Otabor during Paris Fashion Week. The pair is said to be inspired by Mike Bibby’s player-exclusive AJ 17 colourway from his time with the Sacramento Kings but has off-white nubuck uppers with black inner booties paired with the recognisable transparent purple TPU on the sole.
The second pair to be revealed is a “Chicago” colourway with crisp white uppers, translucent red TPU on the sole, and black inner booties likely inspired by MJ’s tenure with the Bulls. However, whether the latter design will see a wider release or remain exclusive to select individuals is still uncertain.
