There was nothing better than being a kid in the early 2000s. Getting home from school to hop onto Disney Channel before starting on your homework and getting to watch Kim Possible saving the world while being an undercover spy trying to make her way through high school. Unfortunately, the show stopped airing in 2007, so if you want to add the item of ultimate nostalgia to your wardrobe, what better way than with Dariyn Enriquez’s Kim Possible x Nike SB Dunk Sneakers?
Kim Possible was one of those cartoons you couldn’t help but love. There weren’t really that many spy cartoons that had female protagonists, and many young girls were inspired by Kim Possible and the central trio from shows like Totally Spies. Kim Possible captured the hearts of kids worldwide from 2002 to 2007, leaving many heartbroken when it ended and wanting to keep the spirit and nostalgia of Kim Possible alive. Luckily, @dope_don_designs has us covered with these beautiful Kim Possible-inspired sneakers.
Starting from the bottom, we see that the outsole is a beautiful burnt orange, perfectly representing the female spy’s fiery hair colour. From there, the midsole appears to be a very light cream colour, possibly meant to emulate Kim’s skin.
That same light-skinned colour appears on the perforated toe box and the quarter of the upper, shaded in a way that both brings to mind the animation style of the series as well as makes the mind think of camouflage.

The front panels that overlay the cream-tone leather are velvety-looking matt black leather that makes up the tip and the mudguard, as well as the lace unit. The black looks so soft to the touch that it appears more like Kim’s shirt than just pure black, unlike the Nike Swoosh, which is most definitely a pitch and pure black, perfectly matching the Nike Swoosh of the Nike SB silhouette.
The panel that wraps around the heel is a stunning khaki green that instantly brings to mind Kim’s baggy cargo pants. The Nike SB Dunk silhouette fits perfectly with the design for Kim Possible. The slightly more padded shape perfectly represents the baggy cargo pants that Kim loves to wear as part of her outfit. This section also includes some drastic shadows, helping to bring the animated feel across and looking a bit like camouflage. The same green repeats on the heel tab to bring the look together on the back.
The panel between the heel counter and heel tab is a coal grey that matches Kim’s gloves, working well to bring the look together. Finally, the tongue, the laces and the inner lining of the sneakers are the same burnt orange as the outsole, with the puffy laces and slightly padded lining once again working perfectly both for the character of Kim Possible and for the Nike SB Dunk silhouette.
Stay tuned to see which nostalgic cartoon @dope_don_designs will bring to life next.
