Dune-themed sneakers are all the rage at the moment. We have designed our own pair here at Sneaker Fortress, inspired by the latest addition to the film series Dune: Part Two. Everyone loved the Dune APL Superfuture pack, and now it seems like Nike has hopped on the hype train and is bringing out its own Air Jordan 13 “Dune Red” sneakers.
Nike has chosen one of its beautiful and more futuristic designs, the Air Jordan 13 silhouette, for a makeover with a gorgeous Dune Red, Terra Blush, and White colourway. Well-placed and executed textures bring these stunning sneakers to life.
Starting from the bottom, we see that the eponymous Dune Red appears on the outsole, as well as the mesh panels of the upper, which make up the inner lining of the sneakers. A readily missed detail, the Jordan logo at the bottom of the lace unit, also appears in this gorgeous Dune red, along with the Jumpman logo on the tongue.
The bulb, or pod-like midsole, is a textured rubber that appears in a stark white, matching the leather tongue, the toe box, and accents throughout the sneakers, such as the laces.

The sneakers’ white colour is a perfect segway into the Terra Blush suede, which overlays sections of the heel and the medial sides and even creeps its way down onto the midsole.
Of course, it wouldn’t be the classic Air Jordan 13 design without the hologram on the lateral ankle designed to look like an eye, complementing the panther-like pods of the outsole to look like a cat’s paw.
Filled with the iconic charm that makes the Air Jordan 13 silhouette as loved as it is, Nike has used innovative technology and a combination of textiles throughout the sneakers to give these a modern or even futuristic feel that matches the fantasy epic perfectly.
Whether these sneakers were actually inspired by the fantasy epic universe Dune or not is up for some sincere debate, as news about the sneakers emerged long before the second part of the film series did. But in my heart, these are the perfect futuristic sneakers to represent the film, and they are a Dune-inspired sneaker to me.

Nike Air Jordan 13 “Dune Red” Release Date & Price
The Nike Air Jordan 13 “Dune Red” is a rare case where we don’t even have official images yet, but we know when to expect these sneakers. A speculative mock-up was released by @zsneakerheadz and @sneakerfiles in June last year. Sneaker Bar Detroit first looked at the sneakers on March 6th, 2024, but we still need to see official images from Nike.
As mentioned, we have a clear idea of when we can expect to see these sneakers gracing stores, which will be June 29th, 2024. The sneakers will be sold in-store and online at select Nike retailers worldwide, as well as on Nike.com.
The expected price for these gorgeous sneakers is around $210, so get your budget ready to welcome them into your collection come Summer 2024.
