Now that Devin Booker’s first signature shoe line with Nike is officially making the rounds, his Nike Book 1 sneakers seem to have started their next chapter with their latest colourway, “Hike”. Combining many elements and textiles that call back to Booker’s beautiful adventures in the outdoors, these gorgeous sneakers are coming out sooner than you might think.

Official images for these sneakers have arrived, and they are gorgeous. They combine a ton of textiles and textures while having a common colourway, mostly consisting of dark stucco, light silver, and clay orange, all working together to create a pair of really striking-looking sneakers.
Nike Book 1 “Hike” Details
Starting from the bottom, the outsole and textured sides of the midsole kick things off with the gorgeous Dark Stucco split in the middle by a strip of Clay Orange, which eludes to a much bigger orange piece decorating the sneakers’ tread. The Clay Orange suggests a cheeky little callback to the Phoenix Suns.
Enough about the outsole, however, because the natural beauty of these sneakers lies in the upper. Four very distinct and stunning textiles, including decorative canvas, crocodile-like skin, snakeskin, and even a tuft of fur, make up the upper.
Snakeskin is prominent on the mudguard, tongue, and heel of the sneakers, appearing in Dark Stucco with darker streaks throughout.
Next, we see a slightly lighter crocodile skin texture brought to life on the eyelets and the toe box of the sneakers and an even lighter green throughout the Swoosh, bordered by Dark Stucco embroidery bordering the Swoosh.
The Nike Swoosh is backed by a canvas quarter with a printed wild grey/green pattern that perfectly breaks up the rest of the textured sections with a slightly grey colour instead of the Dark Stucco of the rest of the upper.
Finally, as a little hint towards Devin Booker’s hiking buddy and man’s best friend Haven, a little tuft of fur, still maintaining the Dark Stucco green of the rest of the sneakers, appears on the collar of the sneakers before the colourway continues with mesh for the inner lining of the sneakers.
Finally, the sneaker’s branding maintains the signature Nike Book 1 look; the tongue label reads the BOOK branding, the insoles feature the Nike Swoosh and barcode, and the heel tab reads “Chapter One”.
