While Batman Day has come and gone, 2024 is still the year of the Caped Crusader, as the hero turns the big 8-5 this year. As we continue honouring his legacy and our love of all things Batman, we had to spotlight a Nike Kobe 5 “Batman Beyond” sneaker custom by Javornie Brathwaite of @jsbthecreator.

The sleek black and red Kobe 5 instantly take our minds to Terry McGinnis’ futuristic Batsuit.
The shoe’s base is mostly covered in black, but the overlays and quarter panels have subtle variations in detailing. For example, the toe box shows off a white circuitry pattern, while the quarter panels have a colony of bats flying across the sides.
On the other hand, the eyestays and toes feature a red circuitry design. You’ll also find that red dominates the Swooshes and Bat logos on the tongue and heel.

Brathwaite finishes off the look with custom Batman Beyond insoles. The graphics show Terry in his Batsuit and an image of his mentor, Bruce Wayne, on the left.
