Nike Pegasus Premium “Black/Bright Crimson” Is The Knight Rider Sneaker We Always Wanted

Could Nike's striking "Black/Bright Crimson" Pegasus Premium colourway be the ideal tribute to the legendary Knight Rider vehicle Kitt?

Long have we been searching for the perfect pair of sneakers to match the sleek and futuristic style of Knight Rider’s famous car, Kitt. For those who may not be familiar, Knight Rider was a popular TV series in the 1980s featuring a high-tech, talking car named Knight Industries Two Thousand, but more lovingly known as Kitt. Thankfully, Nike’s most recent model, the Pegasus Premium, in its eye-catching “Black/Bright Crimson” design, might be the sneaker design we’ve been waiting for.

A Closer Look At The Sneaker

With its sleek black knit upper, metallic silver Swoosh logos, Bright Crimson insoles and full-length Zoom Air unit—which, let’s face it, looks a lot like the iconic red scanner light on Kitt’s front grille—the sneaker undoubtedly delivers on the aesthetic front. Yet it excels even more in the technical aspects.

To provide a stable and responsive shoe that offers extra heel-to-toe energy return without sacrificing weight, Nike designed the Pegasus Premium with a stacked midsole comprising ZoomX foam right below the foot, a sculpted Air Zoom unit in the middle, and ReactX foam in the heel. Plus, we can’t forget the shoe’s engineered mesh upper for breathability and a snug, comfortable fit that enhances overall performance during runs. It’s cutting-edge technology with a sleek, futuristic style all in one bundle- just like with Kitt.
