Bandai Namco and Nike teamed up this year to bring gamers two special Tekken 8 Foamposite One sneakers featuring “Jin Kazama” and “Kazuya Mishima”. Given all the hype around this team-up, we’re sure some sneakerheads are wondering which famous video game character (or characters) will be next in line for a collaboration with the Swoosh Label. In anticipation of more of these unexpected partnerships, we’re showcasing a Nike SB “Black Myth: Wukong” sneaker concept by sneaker artist Ng Poh Hian, perhaps better known as Bob Ng of @nobrainer.psd.
A Closer Look At The Sneaker
If you know the game well, you’ll instantly recognise that this pair is directly inspired by the protagonist and his Monkey King armour set. The base features a soft, ashy hue and scale-like accents on the quarter panels to mimic the armour’s plating. You also have dark blue overlays covered with dragon, cloud, and flame motifs and Chinese script on the ankle. To complete the armour’s distinct look, the Swooshes are done in metallic gold, while the collar and laces feature muted shades of purplish pink and red. Finally, this spectacular homage to the “Black Myth: Wukong” adventure game is brought to an end with a sail midsole and red rubber outsole combo.
Is the Nike SB “Black Myth: Wukong” Available For Purchase?
