In celebration of the Jumpman’s 40th anniversary, the brand has been re-releasing a slew of classic OG sneakers, ranging from the Air Jordan 1 High “Bred” to the iconic Air Jordan 5 “Grape”. And now the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Shattered Backboard” is almost in reach.
A Closer Look At The Sneaker
It’s been a decade since the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Shattered Backboard” first hit shelves in 2015. Now, it’s finally making a return in true OG style.
Many are already familiar with the lore behind the shoe, but indulge us anyway. This colourway was famously inspired by an orange jersey with white and black accents that Michael Jordan wore when he shattered a backboard during an exhibition game in Italy back in 1985. Sure, there have been several reimaginings of this colourway over the years (and even this year), but fans are still more than happy to see it re-released in the form we all know and love.
The sneaker sports the familiar “Black,” “Starfish,” and “Sail” palette which comprises a sail base and bold “Starfish” orange on the toe box, heel, and ankle flap. Sleek black elements on the forefoot, the Swoosh, and the collar then complete the design.

The AJ1 High “Shattered Backboard” will drop July 12th, 2025, in full family sizes. Men’s sizes will set sneakerheads back $180 USD on Nike SNKRS and select retailers.
