Last year, Sean Wotherspoon wowed the sneaker community with his Hemp Green Gazelle colourway in collaboration with adidas. This stunning design not only impressed aesthetically but also stood out for its use of sustainable materials and eco-friendliness. Given Wotherspoon’s history with Nike, it’s no surprise that enthusiasts are eager to see how a Sean Wotherspoon x Air Max 1 “Hemp Green” might turn out. Well, thanks to Polish shoemaker Margiello (@margiello_), we get a tantalising glimpse at what this dream collab would look like on the iconic Air Max 1.
A Closer Look At The Sneaker
Inspired by the original “Hemp Green” Gazelle, Margiello has fashioned one of the year’s coolest custom kicks. With an upper made from dark green woven hemp, complemented by maroon short-haired suede around the collar, the sneaker is a feast for the eyes.
One of the standout features is the intricate white and green stitching that embellishes the shoe, paired beautifully with a cork insole. Furthermore, the Nike Swoosh, crafted in white leather with serrated edges, pairs perfectly with the pearly white tongue and laces.
Adding the finishing touches, the design boasts a clean white midsole and a gum rubber outsole, creating an irresistible and timeless aesthetic I am sure we’d all love to own.
Is The Sean Wotherspoon x Air Max 1 “Hemp Green” Available For Purchase?
Sadly, this is a one-off piece made exclusively for one of Margiello’s clients. However, if you’re open to commissioning a custom pair, you can always request a similar design on your preferred silhouette.
Keep in mind, though, that a pair of kicks from this talented artist is a significant investment, starting at €1,400. But the value and uniqueness of these stylish sneakers make them a worthy addition to any collection.
Meanwhile, you can check out more of Margiello’s work, like these stylish Hom (AIR) Simpson sneakers or explore some of the best Air Max colourways ever released. And always stay tuned to Sneaker Fortress for more amazing customs and concepts.
