Sneaker customisers and fans of all things ’80s and ’90s pop culture, Bull Airs, have produced some incredibly amazing designs that appeal to our collective nostalgia for the glory days. Whether bringing famous cartoon characters to life in sneaker form or reimagining iconic sneaker looks from movies onto different silhouettes, they cover a wide range of styles and themes that appeal to our childhood memories. Their impressive lineup even includes a Gameboy-inspired Air Jordan 1 design they’ve aptly named the “ShoeBoys.”

A Closer Look At The Design

From reproducing the colour scheme of the original Gameboy to putting actual buttons behind the ankle flap and even simulating the screen’s appearance on the quarter panels—down to the pixelated details—the shoe has every nostalgic detail you could want. Bull Air has even made sure to add a serrated heel to the shoe to replicate the back cover of the handheld console. The design is actually quite fun and creative, and it definitely nails the appearance of the original Gameboy.

How To Grab A Pair Of “ShoeBoys” Air Jordan 1 Sneaker

But the best part about these “ShoeBoys” sneakers is that they come in a selection of different colour options, just like the original handheld system. Currently available for purchase are an off-white and grey colour scheme, along with an Atomic Purple pair. You also have the flexibility to purchase a single pair or a mixed foot pair, both priced at $450 USD.

Bull Airs also have other sneaker designs based on popular classic gaming systems, including “NES” Nike Blazers, which are based on the Nintendo Entertainment System, and the “BullStation” Nike SB Dunks, which are inspired by the PlayStation. Each of the above options are currently available to order from Bull Air’s official website.

As you contemplate adding the ‘ShoeBoys’ Air Jordan 1 to your sneaker rotation, don’t miss the chance to explore our website for more console-inspired custom sneakers. From Super Nintendo-themed Air Jordan 4s to Air Jordan 3s modelled after the PlayStation 3, there’s a wide range of options to entice gamers. And remember to keep an eye on Sneaker Fortress for more custom and concept kicks.
