This year, the Jumpman Label is releasing an array of sneaker designs in Michael Jordan’s signature red, black, and white colour schemes. Yet none are nearly as experimental as their women’s exclusive Air Jordan 1 High OG “Varsity Red” sneaker.

A Closer Look At The Sneaker

Sure, we are accustomed to seeing female versions of popular AJ1 colourways entirely revamped in satin—just consider the “Satin Shadow” release from last year or the “Satin Bred” drop from 2023, to name but a few. However, Jordan Brand is taking a slightly different approach this time around; they are using shiny cracked varsity red leather on the toe box, collar, and heel to recreate their iconic “Bred Toe” look. Yet the rest of the design is pretty conventional, with smooth white leather at the base and black leather at the collar, toe, eyestays, and profile swooshes.

Other features include a black 3D TPU Wings logo on the collar, as well as the traditional white midsole and red rubber outsole combination below.

If you’re a female sneakerhead looking for something different from the typical red, black and white colourway, this release could be the one to catch your attention.

Air Jordan 1 High OG “Varsity Red” Release Details

This stunning rendition of Jordan Brand’s “Bred Toe” colourway is set to release on May 22, 2025. Nike.com and select Jordan stores will be selling pairs for $180 USD in women’s sizes, $85 USD in preschool sizes, and $70 USD in toddler sizes.

Jordan Brand’s 2025 roster also includes other revamped colourways like the Air Jordan 1 “UNC Reimagined,” Air Jordan 1 “Black Toe Reimagined,” and the Air Jordan 5 “Black Metallic Reimagined”. So, make sure to follow us here at Sneaker Fortress for more information on upcoming drops and sneaker news.
