While most of the heavy hitters in the Jumpman Label’s Air Jordan 1 lineup have been disclosed well in advance, a handful of new in-house colourways are still being unveiled as the year progresses. Take, for instance, the women’s exclusive Air Jordan 1 Low “Sail” set to release in fall this year.
It is hardly surprising that Jordan Brand has cooked up yet another women’s exclusive sneaker for 2025. The brand already has more than thirty releases exclusively for women in the works this year, including a dazzling Swarovski x Air Jordan 1 Low offering.
The collaboration, which is limited to only 3,000 pairs, comes with a staggering $ 1,000 USD price tag that has left many sneakerheads in shock. “Surely someone auntie can do this much cheaper”, someone joked on Instagram, while another Instagram user wrote “Not for. A 1000”. Yet, there are still many fans who would eagerly cop this blinged-out AJ1 low if it were priced more reasonably.
But where the Jumpman’s collaborative effort with the Austrian company sees the AJ1 low model covered from head to toe in shimmering crystals, the upcoming in-line design adds a modest touch of pearls, beads, sequins and turquoise stones to the silhouette to create a unique and elegant look.
The design kicks off with a delicate sail leather base, contrasted with light grey overlays at the toe cap and eye stays and a touch of blush pink on the inner lining and heel. Then, the exquisite touches of pearls, beads and sequins are strategically placed on the lateral profile Swooshes for an extra feminine touch, while the turquoise stones add a pop of colour and contrast to the tongue.
Sure, it’s not quite as lavish as the Swarovski x Air Jordan 1 Low that debuted in May, but for $135 USD, these are a more obtainable option for female sneakerheads looking for an Air Jordan 1 Low with a little extra sparkle and flair. After all, not everyone is ready to spend $1000 USD on a collaboration, even as lavish as the Swarovski sneaker is.
However, if you are planning to add sneakers with such delicate detailing to your collection, be ready to put in more work to maintain them if you want that sparkle to last.
