UPDATE: The Air Jordan 1 “UNC” Reimagined will drop on May 10, 2025 featuring pre-aged detailing (i.e cracked leather base and sail outsole) akin to the “Lost & Found” design from 2022.

Jordan Brand’s Reimagined series has been all about giving beloved colourways a fresh take. While some, like the Jordan 1 “Royal Reimagined,” may not have hit the mark quite as expected, others, such as the “Chicago Lost and Found” AJ1, have captured the spotlight for all the right reasons. Now, it’s time for the Air Jordan 1 “UNC” to receive the Reimagined overhaul, and this one may just be another fan favourite in the making.

A Closer Look At The Design

According to @zsneakerheadz, the upcoming Air Jordan 1 “UNC Reimagined”, scheduled for 2025, will feature pre-aged detailing akin to the ‘Lost & Found’ design from 2022. This means that the sneakers will likely have a distressed, vintage look, evoking the charm of discovering deadstock gems in old-school shops.

Although no images have surfaced yet, sneakerheads can anticipate the classic OG 1985 colour blocking with a “White” base and “Powder Blue” overlays, a design that perfectly honours Michael Jordan’s University of North Carolina days.

To complete the nostalgic vibe, even the shoebox will be era-accurate. The pre-aged concept is likely to captivate sneaker enthusiasts, as vintage-inspired designs have generally fared better than mere fabric updates when it comes to the Reimagined series.

Air Jordan 1 “UNC Reimagined” Release Details

Currently, there aren’t many specifics on the Air Jordan 1 UNC Reimagined’s release. However, you can expect this special rendition to drop in 2025 via Nike.com and select Jordan retailers, with a price tag of around $180 USD.

As we await more details, keep an eye out for what Jordan Brand has in store for its 40th anniversary next year. Anticipate drops like the Air Jordan 1 High ’85 “Bred”, Air Jordan 14 Red “Ferrari”, and A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 5 “Diffused Blue” as part of the celebrations. And for all the latest updates and releases, be sure to stay tuned to Sneaker Fortress.
