Jordan Brand’s sneaker release schedule for 2026 is already stacked with must-have pairs. Most notably, it’s packed full of Jordan 6 sneakers to commemorate the model’s 35th anniversary year. Joining a slew of fresh Air Jordan 6 colourways (like the “Bin 23” and “Reverse Infrared” releases) being prepared for next year’s celebrations is a “Cap & Gown” iteration that borrows from a very loved Air Jordan 11 style.

Much like its namesake, the Jordan 6 “Cap & Gown” comes in a sleek all-black look with shades of “Black/Multi-Colour/Multi-Colour” confirmed for the palette. However, sneaker insiders (in particular zSneakerHeadz and SneakerFiles) report that the Jumpman team will be adding reflective piping onto the design, which would be comparable to the Jordan 5 “Black Metallic Reimagined” that debuted in February 2025.
Aside from that, info about the materials and other details of the shoe are still under wraps. But we’re expecting this pair to be just as fancy as its Jordan 11 counterpart from 2018.

The Jordan 11 was born out of MJ and Tinker Hatfield’s desire to create a shoe that could be worn for special occasions, and the “Cap and Gown” colourway was the perfect colourway to play into that concept. Mike’s 11th signature sneaker was already a fan fave for formal gatherings, but the all-black colour scheme made it even more fitting.
While images of the upcoming Air Jordan 6 “Cap and Gown” have yet to surface, the speculative mockups are said to be an accurate representation of what fans can look forward to come summer 2026.
