The “Black Cement” Is The Best Looking Air Jordan 17 Low I’ve Ever Seen

Is this sleek "Black Cement" look the new Air Jordan 17 low colourway that sneakerheads want Jordan Brand to release?

We don’t often see new Air Jordan 17 low colourways. In reality, the first-ever retro treatment of the model’s OG colour schemes only arrived last year (in 2024). However, considering that the model will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2027, it’s always possible that Jordan Brand is looking to introduce new colour options to commemorate the milestone. And artist Smooth Gear (@smoothtwo3) suggests a striking “Black Cement” look for the Air Jordan 17 Low.

A Closer Look At The Sneaker

As the name suggests, the designer created a sleek AJ17 concept utilising the colour combination made popular by the iconic Air Jordan 3 model. The sockliner has the classic cement grey colouring with the elephant print pattern that is closely linked to Michael Jordan’s third signature shoe, while the rest of the upper is made of black tumbled leather. The Air Jordan 3 design also served as the inspiration for the shoe’s bright red eyelets. Finally, the pair finishes off with a grey and black sole unit with the AJ17’s signature chrome strip along the heel.

Is The Jordan 17 Low “Black Cement” Available For Purchase?

While the Air Jordan 17 Low ‘Black Cement’ is currently just a concept, the future of Jordan 17 releases certainly looks promising. Sneakerheads can anticipate a collaboration with INFINITE ARCHIVES to be released in fall this year (2025) as part of the Jumpman Label’s 40th anniversary celebrations.

In the meantime, you can anticipate more stunning Jordan releases for the brand’s big 4-0, which include the A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 5 “Violet Ore” and the Air Jordan 1 High OG Rare Air “Deep Royal Blue,” plus a series of sure-to-be-coveted Air Jordan 4 releases. So, make sure to stay updated on upcoming releases and be ready to cop these highly anticipated sneakers by following us here at Sneaker Fortress.
