With the warmer months approaching, every sneaker collection needs a bit of a vibrant lift. Since Kobe’s signature shoes are one of the hottest commodities on the sneaker scene right now, this Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Summer” is the perfect addition for any sneakerhead looking to tune into the bright and colourful vibes of the season.

A quick scroll through your favourite social media platforms and it becomes apparent that Kobe’s sneakers are still causing quite a stir. Each new launch or re-release of his coveted kicks experiences unprecedented popularity, making it clear that the legacy of this basketball legend lives on through his iconic footwear. And where there’s demand, there are amazing custom sneaker artists creating their own unique takes on Kobe’s signature shoes. Yet, among this growing sea of talented creatives drawn to the much-loved Nike Kobe 6 Protro, one name rings out loud and clear – Mamba Concepts.

This artist has earned quite a name for his custom, made-to-order Kobe sneakers that occasionally even outdo the original colourways in terms of creativity and style. A prime example of his marvellous creations is the Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Summer.”

The “Summer” colour palette effortlessly integrates bold hues of yellow, orange, and teal that quickly bring to mind a tropical getaway or a lighthearted day at the beach. But let’s not underestimate the attention to detail—Mamba Concepts has implemented a stunning gradient effect allowing a seamless transition between each colour.

Let’s start with the upper. It begins with a gentle yellow tone at the toe, gradually darkening into a peachy orange colour towards the heel. We can only guess that this mesmerising gradient look results from a meticulous fade dye process; however, the actual specifics have not been disclosed.

A dash of teal adorns the Nike Swoosh, contrasting splendidly with the bright orange and yellow hues on the textured, scaly upper. The same teal livens up the brand logo on the tongue and the laces. From there, the orange shade continues, making its presence known on the inner lining and insoles. Together, these elements combine to create an ensemble that is as striking as it is balanced.

As for the final touch of colour, it comes through a beautiful blend of yellow and orange on the midsole (again presented in a gradient style), as well as an orange and grey duo-toned outsole. Truth be told, Kobe Bryant’s signature shoe collection boasts some truly stunning official colourways, with classics like the “Grinch” and “Bruce Lee” versions springing to mind as standout designs. However, this custom “Summer” colourway truly holds its own in terms of magnetism.

This design undoubtedly leaves quite the impression with its harmonious blend of bright hues and understated styling. It’s the perfect footwear choice to spice up the sun-filled months to come.

How to Get Your Hands on the Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Summer” Sneakers

However, if you are looking for something with more neutral hues, the sneaker artist also has a stunning Travis Scott x Kobe 6 “Protro” design and Off-White x Nike Zoom Kobe 5 “White” kicks on his page.
