From Gotham-inspired Jordans to bold, comic-book collabs, these are some of the best Batman sneakers.
Nike Air Max 1 “Batman”

The shoe’s base is covered in black mesh, while the tongue is made of shiny nylon fabric. Above this sit dark grey suede overlays, with yellow leather wrapping around the mudguard and touching up the side Swooshes. Yellow accents also appear on the branding details, eyelets, and insole for an extra pop of colour. Finishing off the look is a blacked-out sole unit with the Air Unit visible at the heel.
Although the similarity most likely occurred by chance, we’d like to think that one of Beaverton’s designers was drawing inspiration from the Batman comics and animated series—or perhaps Christian Bale’s suit from the Batman Begins films.
PUMA Suede Classic Batman

Unlike many other collaborations for Batman, the PUMA Suede Classic variant stands out. Many previous Batman-related sneaker colourways have either gone with the near-all-black upper or that of the blues, greys and yellows from the older comics. This time around, with inspiration from The Batman film, the primary colours are black and red. And it looks brilliant.
The contrasting red (or Barbados Cherry, to be exact) is prominent against the PUMA Black on the front of the sneaker. You’ll easily have heads turning as you hit the streets with your sneakers, while it also stands out quite bolder during the nighttime.
While the colour scheme does play quite a significant role in the aesthetic, it really pops as a result of the nubuck suede on the upper. This is also where it derives its name from. Irrespective of opinions about keeping it clean, using suede on any sneaker always presents a premium touch. And that’s no different here. Not only does it look good, but the feel as you brush your hands across the dyed suede also gives you that feeling of elegance.
Nike Kobe 5 “Dark Knight”

Some of Kobe Bryant’s best colourways have been inspired by his favourite movies, so it’s not unexpected to see a Dark Knight-themed sneaker in his lineup. The black and blue colour scheme is a subtle nod to Batman’s suit, but one that still manages to stand out.
Nike Air Max 90 “Black/Buff Gold”

Nike’s sleek new “Black/Buff Gold” Air Max 90 design has been compared to one of DC’s most popular superheroes. But, do you see the link? If we’re being completely honest, it doesn’t take much to associate a sleek black sneaker with the Dark Knight these days. However, we can understand why this specific Air Max 90 has been compared to the Caped Crusader’s superhero suit, more specifically, his costume from the ’80s. The use of black ripstop materials at the base, along with the subtle gold highlights on the ankle insignia, tongue tag, insoles, heel logo, and miniature Swooshes, do somewhat resemble the iconic elements of Batman’s suit. Still, without any official Batman branding, these are essentially just a pair of black and gold sneakers—albeit a really sleek and stylish pair.
Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low “Batman” (2024)
Very few official Travis Scott Jordan 1 colourways could rival the beauty of this custom pair by Savoir-Faire Paris. It rocks all the colours comic fans associate with the Dark Knight: black, grey, and a pop of yellow.
Nike Air Max 95 “Batman” (2025)
Nike may not have an official collaboration with DC comics, but someone in the Swoosh camp must love The Caped Crusader. There are enough black, grey, and yellow kicks in their arsenal to make you feel like they’ve gone full Gotham City on us. One of the best unofficial DC sneakers in their lineup is the “Black/Buff Gold/Anthracite” Air Max 95 from 2025. All it really needs is a bat logo on the tongue.
Air Jordan 6 Sneakers in Batman Returns

To keep with the usual booted look that Batman usually has for his suits, the Air Jordan 6 sneakers were changed in many ways to fit the part, leaving the sole mainly looking the same but in a fitting black. At the same time, some armour was added to the upper where the laces would be. This armour extends all the way past the tongue of the sneakers onto the leg up to the knee, giving the sneakers a boot-like look, complemented by the fact that the collar of the sneakers is also extended up to give it a booted look.
Air Max Plus Drift “Triple Black”

The sleek Air Max Plus Drift “Triple Black” is fit for a superhero with its sleek, futuristic design and stealthy all-black colourway. While you still get the beloved features of the Air Max Plus Drift silhouette—like the iconic TPU cage and Tuned Air cushioning—the design takes a daring leap by replacing the signature mesh base with a black carbon fibre material, giving it that unmistakably Batman-esque look (you see it too, right?).
To complement this updated material, both the midsole and outsole are cloaked in black, along with all the finer details of the shoe. The only splash of colour comes from the yellow branding on the insole and subtle yellow accents in the visible Air unit at the heel—again, channelling those Batman vibes.
“Return of the Joker” SB Dunk Low

This concept pair features a split shoe design, with Terry McGinnis’ Batman Beyond suit inspiring the right shoe’s aesthetic and the left shoe taking on a sinister Joker look. Mazorra designed a sleek dark black sneaker with red trim, swooshes, and laces for our beloved Batman of the future. On the other hand, Joker’s pair is slightly more playful, including a white leather base, green Swooshes, and purple overlays featuring his iconic laugh text scrawled in red throughout.
Air Jordan 4 “Batman”

hen we think of Batman, some of us don’t think of the dark and gloomy portrayals by the likes of Christian Bale or Ben Affleck. In fact, many fans remember Adam West’s campy, colourful version from the ’60s television series, or even in the Batman: The Brave and the Bold animated show. If you are a fan of the classic Batman, then you’ll love these “Batman” Air Jordan 4 custom sneakers by Dan Gamache, better known as Mache Customs (@mache275).
This design is a throwback to all things retro and nostalgic. It offers light grey uppers inspired by the leotard Batsuit of the time, with splashes of yellow and blue that recall the look of classic comics. The sneaker also has the ’60s Batman branding on the tongue and a bat logo on the heel to pull the entire design together. Fans of the iconic series and movies will definitely appreciate the attention to detail these kicks offer.
Jordan 4 “Batman Beyond”

With Terry, we explore a new dimension of the Batman mythos, enriched by his youthful energy, sense of humour, and cutting-edge tech. These elements make Terry an indispensable and widely adored figure in the Batman universe, captivating fans of all ages. His story underscores an essential truth: the Batman legacy transcends a single individual, passed down through generations to ensure the Dark Knight’s enduring mission. And let’s not forget the visual allure—Terry’s unique look and high-tech gadgets make him a feast for the eyes. That’s probably why the Batman Beyond x Jordan 4 sneakers are as captivating as Terry himself.
Batman Beyond RTFKT Dunk Genesis

When you think of Terry McGinnis’s Batman Beyond suit, you think of a futuristic and sleek design. Well, Nike’s new RTFKT Dunk Genesis model may be the best silhouette for capturing that essence. Dariyn Enriquez, however, took the look a step further by adding red circuitry patterns, a bat logo, and vibrant red Swooshes, transforming the model into a true homage to the Batman of the future.
