There haven’t been many superhero-themed sneakers from major brands this year, save for a couple of styles that have been associated with heroes given their colour schemes (similar to what we just did). But although there haven’t been any official superhero collaborations yet, you can still take a look at some superhero sneakers that have already been launched here.
Nike GT Future “Lightning”

Nike’s upcoming G.T. Future silhouette may not make its formal debut until Holiday 2025, but the new model has already caught the attention of many sneakerheads. Wale is mainly responsible for the tremendous hype around the G.T. Future, but there’s also the familiarity of its Hyperflight and Foamposite-inspired look. Not to mention the host of bold colourways in the works, including a yellow and black “Lightning” edition that is sure to be a fan favourite.
For this colourway, the shoe’s striated hard shell uppers are primarily coated in yellow but with a gradient finish that starts darker closer to the sole and fades to a lighter shade towards the top. The remaining details, including the inside bootie and branding, are then kept simple in black. Of course, the bold aesthetic is complemented by a full Zoom Strobel and Cushlon 3.0 midsole with a forefoot Air Zoom unit. Even with all this new silhouette has to offer, sneakerheads seem to be divided on the look. But we may be sold on this yellow and black pair simply because the colour scheme reminds us a bit of Wolverine.
Marvel x Air Jordan 1 “Origin Story”

Not every Spider-Man sneaker has to be red and blue. Jordan Brand offered their classic “Chicago” colourway as the base for a team-up with Marvel and Sony Pictures’ animated blockbuster Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse back in 2018. Of course, they included some theme-appropriate details, including comic-style Ben-Day dots on the overlays, blue tongue labels, and frosty transparent outsoles. But in the film, Miles Morales is seen wearing the actual “Chicago” AJ1 High design.
Powerpuff Girls x Nike SB Dunk Low Collection

Nike SB used sugar, spice, and everything nice to create the ultimate Powerpuff Girls collection in 2023. Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup each have their own sneaker design, complete with giant bug eyes on the heel. But the designs also represent the girls’ different characteristics by using distinct materials and details that correspond with the hero they represent.
Kith x Marvel x Asics Gel-Lyte III “X-Men” Collection

X-Men celebrated its 60th anniversary with an incredible collection by Kith and ASICS. Characters like Beast, Cyclops, Gambit, Rogue, and Storm all got to be the stars of their own Gel-Lyte III design. The rarest, of course, was Wolverine’s black, blue, and yellow kicks. All sneakers came in “blind box” packaging, which prevented sneakerheads from knowing which style they were buying. But the surprise was definitely half the fun.
Nike Air Force 1 Low “Invisible Woman”

In 2006, Nike dropped a collection of sneakers inspired by the members of the “Fantastic Four.” One of the most noteworthy of the bunch was the Nike Air Force 1 “Invisible Woman.” The design included translucent panels at the forefoot, a look that was a lot more popular in the 2000s than it probably should have been. Still, these had sneakerheads in a chokehold when they dropped and are still one of the best superhero sneakers to ever drop.
Nike Air Max 95 “Human Torch”

Another big hit from Nike’s unofficial “Fantastic Four” pack was, of course, the Nike Air Max 95 “Human Torch”. The Sergio Lozano-designed silhouette was pure fire, covered in a red-to-yellow gradient inspired by Johnny’s powers. This is a look I’m sure many sneakerheads would like to see return for the reboot of the franchise this year.
Doernbecher X Air Jordan 4 Retro “Superman”

To call the Jordan 4 “Doernbecher” a grail is an understatement. A young Isaiah Scott dreamed up the shoe’s design as part of the Swoosh Label’s Doernbecher Freestyle initiative, which allows the patients at the Children’s Hospital to express themselves via sneaker design. This particular pair has had sneakerheads drooling over its unique details for years, and Supe’s iconic “S” logo on the tongue likely plays a big part in that.
Nike Kobe 5 “Dark Knight”

Some of Kobe Bryant’s best colourways have been inspired by his favourite movies, so it’s not unexpected to see a Dark Knight-themed sneaker in his lineup. The black and blue colour scheme is a subtle nod to Batman’s suit, but one that still manages to stand out.
LaMelo Ball x TMNT x PUMA MB.04

Lamelo Ball and Puma delivered one of the most famous superhero quartets of the ’80s with their MB.04 sneakers in 2025. Each pair came in a mismatched design, with one of the turtle brothers represented on each foot. These were definitely one of the most unusual spins on the theme, but they seemed very much in sync with TMNT’s roots in the ’80s.
Marvel x Kith x ASICS GT-2160 “Spider-Man”

Kith is known for nailing superhero themed sneakers, but their collaboration in 2024 tapped into the villainous side of things. Despite all of the bad guys in the collection, the trio still gifted fans a “Spider-Man” ASICS GT-2160 sneaker. The pair has the classic blue and red look fans enjoy without being overly flashy, and it also comes in one of the best sneaker packaging we’ve seen in recent collaborations.
Marvel x adidas “Avengers: Age of Ultron” Basketball Collection

Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor took centre stage in this epic collaboration between Marvel and adidas. This is one superhero collection where you don’t have to guess which character each shoe symbolises; the sneakers are bold and unmistakable.
