Union has a proven track record with their collaborations, presenting aesthetics that sneaker enthusiasts instantly recognise and come to adore. However, there’s still a desire to see these beloved collabs reinterpreted onto other sneaker silhouettes, and that’s precisely what’s happening with these Union “Off Noir Luxe”Air Jordan 1 Low designs by Roger Hung of @shoecutterz.
A Closer Look At The Sneaker
This custom sneaker borrows its colour palette directly from the original Union x Air Jordan 4 “Off Noir” colourway, which debuted in 2020. The design features a mix of black, blue, white, and red tones. But to adapt this palette to the Air Jordan 1 Low silhouette, the colour blocking has been reimagined while retaining the essence of the original pair.
The design is dominated by dark black hues, with Python leather on the toe box and quarter panels, Epsom full-grain cowhide on the heel, and smooth-grain Italian cowhide on the toe cap and eye stays. In addition, you’ll find red accents on the tips of the eye stays and the branding details. The tongue and inner lining boast blue hues, while yellow adds a vibrant touch to the laces, overlay trims, and the iconic zig-zag stitching.
Of course, this homage to Union LA wouldn’t be complete without their signature tags; this time affixed to the smooth white leather Swooshes. The design culminates in a white midsole and black rubber outsole, creating a look that pays homage to its predecessor while introducing unique elements that allow it to shine on its own.
