Who doesn’t love the classic cartoon duo Tom & Jerry? These two have been at it for decades, entertaining us all with their hilarious antics and never-ending chase. While we have seen these two immortalised in many different forms of merchandise over the years, we bet you’ve never seen them quite like this before. Introducing the Air Jordan 1 “Tom & Jerry” sneakers, a unique split sneaker concept design from our very own Jarrod Saunders. It’s about time that Tom & Jerry made their way onto a pair of the world’s most iconic sneakers, and what better way than to have them always opposite each other on each foot?
As mentioned before, this striking sneaker design splits the iconic duo into separate shoes, where Jerry dominates the left shoe and Tom gets the limelight on the right. Of course, to bring these beloved characters to life, their characteristic colours harmoniously adorn these “Tom & Jerry” sneakers.

The left sneaker, representing Jerry, is dressed in white, brown and dark grey hues that instantly conjure up his image. The sneaker’s base is a smooth white leather that takes its cue from his big cartoon eyes. We can see this colour on the toe box, tongue, quarter panels and collar, and then again on the rim just above the midsole.
This crisp shade of white is contrasted by the beautiful caramel brown overlays that, of course, resemble the colour of the cute but cunning mouse’s fur. This beautiful warm shade covers the toe, mudguard, eye-stays, ankle flap and heel, but can also be seen on the stitching detail throughout the sneaker and on the tongue label.
Lastly, the dark grey hues on the upper draw their inspiration from Jerry’s outline. This shade adorns the Profile, Swooshes and laces, and peaks out from the back of the tongue, reflecting just a hint of the mischievous mouse while linking with the elements of Tom’s design on the other foot.

The design is then finished off with a brown midsole and lighter brown outsole that draws inspiration from the dual tone of the fur on his body and underbelly. The level of detailing is quite impressive!
On the other hand, the right sneaker, representing Tom, showcases his classic grey and white colour scheme. Again, the sneaker’s base is white, giving a nod to the white accents on Tom’s face, tail and paws. This crisp colour covers all the same regions as Jerry’s, tying the two designs together to create a harmonious pair.
Grey then covers everything else, from the toe, mudguard and eye-stays to the ankle flap, heel counter and Profile Swooshes, creating a cohesive and balanced look that is unmistakably Tom’s. Finishing off the design is a brown midsole and outsole – a subtle nod to Jerry amidst Tom’s design and a fitting culmination for these “Tom & Jerry” sneakers.
Of course, a pair this unique needs special packaging to match, and our creative has delivered just that. The box plays into the ongoing narrative of Tom and Jerry, featuring a playful illustration of the iconic duo in one of their classic chase scenes. Honestly, this box alone has me wishing this concept was real! It’s a fitting tribute to the timeless charm and entertainment that these beloved characters have brought to audiences for decades. Now, if only we could see these “Tom & Jerry” sneakers in action, they would surely bring a playful and nostalgic energy to any outfit.
