Travis Scott is well-known for his impressive collection of kicks and rides. So it seems only fitting that two of his most coveted passions should come together in a single design, as with this Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 “JACKBOYS” custom by Bob Ng of @nobrainer.psd.

More About The Inspiration Behind The Design

Many will remember the highly customised BMW M3 E30 from Scott’s 2019 JACKBOYS music video. Scott drives the vintage coupe that has been transformed into a rally car, and it’s really incredible to see how much the car’s appearance has changed. The vehicle was given a light blue exterior paint job with a striking beige and brown combination on the hood, as well as new rims and rally lights. As for the decal, the M3 is covered in Russian text that reads “Cactus Jack,” with an English translation displayed above the windscreen. There’s also Scott’s record label logo on the bonnet, his birth year on the side and a graphic of a woman on top of the car, among many other details. It’s this bold and distinctive style that served as the muse for this beautiful custom sneaker design.

A Closer Look At The Sneaker

Inspired by the colour scheme of the customised BMW M3 E30, the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 “Jackboys” features a white base, a brown toe box, and blue accents on the toe, ankle flap, and heel counter. The inner lining, reverse Swooshes, and dark black eyestays all allude to the car’s tinted windows.

A few of the automobile decals are also incorporated into the shoe design including the “Since 1991” graphic which can be seen at the heel. Although it isn’t shown here, it would be cool to see the decal of the woman transferred onto the insoles.

Lastly, the shoes are set on a white midsole with the Russian term Cactus Jack inscribed on the heel and a black rubber outsole that resembles the wheels. We’re confident that many people will want to sport this unique look on both their cars and sneakers.
