adidas is back with another collection drop from its archives. Originally launched in 1991, adidas Equipment was driven by its mantra “Everything that is essential. And nothing that is not.” It has been at the forefront of pioneering for decades and has embodied the Three Stripes ethos ever since. Now, in 2025, the range is set to pioneer new trails for today’s generation across sport, music and streetwear.
The Return of adidas Equipment
Having seen limited releases as part of its comeback in recent years, it has aimed at those looking to reshape culture to pioneer new and dynamic paths in their respective fields. The latest drop sees three silhouettes return from the early 90s, which include the adidas Equipment Cushion 93, the adidas Equipment Takumi Sen and the adidas Equipment Agravic.
Both of these sneakers continue the recent trend of classic silhouettes from the adidas archives, including the successful campaigns for the adidas Originals SL72 and adidas X Bad Bunny Para Gazelle. You can never go wrong with a pair of classic sneakers, and with more collaborations always on the horizon, fans can be sure to be excited about what’s still to come.
adidas Equipment Cushion 93
Having originally debuted in 1993, the adidas Equipment Cushion 93 was a staple of the early Equipment range. It was reimagined in 2025, and all retro-tech details were modernised while keeping its original aesthetic. This also includes its reflective mesh upper and overlays, grippy rubber outsole and the Torsion System.
adidas Equipment Takumi Sen
The EQT Takumi Sen features similar detailing and retro-tech details as the Cushion 93. It mixes things up in 2025 with its Lightstrike Pro cushioning, textile and synthetic upper materials and a lightweight Continental™ Rubber outsole for added grip. It is the ideal sneaker for kicking back or cruising the streets.
adidas Equipment Agravic
Lastly, there’s the EQT Agravic. It fuses the best of 90s tech and aesthetics with a modern flare. The Agravic tells a story of speed through the lens of street style. Released initially as a trainer, it features a unique rocker profile that lets you roll through every stride, from heel strike to toe-off. It has been modernised with a grippy outsole rubber capable of tackling mountain trails, an upper crafted in Dyneema® textile material, natural overlays and TPU details. This gives it a perfect mix of classic and modern contemporary.
adidas Equipment Apparel
As with the classic sneakers reimagined for the modern sneakerhead, the Equipment apparel range has been reengineered using innovative materials. This includes heavyweight French terry cloth with reflective yarn, seamless knits, lightweight, iridescent, and reflective outerwear fabric, as well as trim details. It has a premium aesthetic and feel, along with ultra-durable construction. The look is rounded off with paired accessories, including baggage options, socks, headwear and a terry towel.
The latest collection of adidas Equipment arrives this January, including the sneakers and apparel. These will be available at select adidas stores and online at adidas.com. Additional colourways are scheduled for release throughout 2025.
