This year, Adidas will introduce a new Mary Jane-inspired version of the popular Samba silhouette to its lineup. While the new look has already been unveiled in classic white and black options, the silhouette will also be delivered in a bolder “Better Scarlet” colourway upon its release.
A Closer Look At The Sneaker
This red-based version of the Samba Jane sees the new silhouette clad in red leather with a hint of suede at the toe. However, the three white stripes on the sides of the shoe and gum rubber soles offer a change in contrast to the bold red upper.
The remainder of the design is pretty standard—well, standard for the Samba Jane, that is. This means a sleek Velcro strap across the shoe in place of laces and a spacious opening where the tongue and eyestays used to be.
