adidas Samba “Woody” Sneaker Is Made For Toy Story Fans

Toy Story Adidas Samba Woody Sneakers

We’ve certainly seen our fair share of Woody-inspired footwear over the years. From Vans Old Skool sneakers to Crocs clogs, the iconic cowboy sheriff is a perennial favourite in collaboration circles. We’ve even seen custom Nike sneakers styled after the beloved character. But it’s now time for the adidas Samba to join the fun. Check out these stunning “Woody” inspired sneakers, brought to life by the talented sneaker artist @think.scott.

A Closer Look at the Sneaker

The design kicks off with a dark brown leather base,  echoing the colour of Woody’s hair and eyes rather than his iconic cowboy boots and hat. Although it’s a shift from the usual brown we’ve come to associate with the character’s famous collabs, it lends the shoe a more mature and sophisticated aesthetic. To add a striking contrast to the upper, you’ll notice a sail-coloured toe and tongue.

Moving on, the eye stays are painted a deep blue shade, reflecting his denim jeans, while the famous three stripes along the sides of the shoe sport a black-and-white cow print, mirroring his signature vest.

From there,  the inner lining and collar give a nod to Woody’s striped shirt and bandana. To complete the design, the semi-translucent outsole features “ANDY” scribbled on the side, adding that perfect nostalgic touch.

The result is a beautifully balanced design, both sophisticated yet still plenty playful. It’s certainly a look that we hope will inspire adidas for any future collaborations with Toy Story, especially as the franchise approaches its thirty-year milestone next year.

Back in 2020, to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the fantastic Toy Story series, adidas and Toy Story did, in fact, collaborate on a special collection. However, the designs were specifically crafted for the younger audience, and unfortunately, the iconic Samba silhouettes didn’t make an appearance in that line-up.

Looking at these marvellous “Woody” sneakers, one might wonder why a Woody-inspired Samba was overlooked for adult enthusiasts. It certainly feels like a missed chance for us grown-up admirers of the series.

How to Get Your Hands on the Toy Story x adidas Samba “Woody” Sneakers

Fortunately, there’s no need to wait and hope to snag a pair of these fabulous kicks. Just send a direct message to @think.scott on Instagram or drop an email to thinkscottstudio@gmail.com to have these shoes custom-made for you. Keep in mind that the designer only accepts 5-7 custom orders per month, so you might need to join a waitlist for the moment.

The prices for these bespoke designs typically range between $400 to $600 USD, but can go up to $1000 USD based on the intricacy of the design. This cost includes the customised work on the shoe, a sourcing fee for the base shoe, as well as tax and shipping.

So, if you are keen, don’t hesitate to reach out to ThinkScott with your desired pair and size. But in the meantime, why not explore some other fantastic Toy Story-inspired designs like the Air Jordan 6 “Woody” or these cool “Toy Story” Nike Dunk sneakers that feature an array of details from the beloved movie franchise and its characters? Or, if you’re into Transformers, you might find this “Bumblebee” Air Jordan 11 design intriguing. And remember to follow us here at Sneaker Fortress for more customs and concepts.
