With the Paris Summer Olympics approaching, we’ve seen a surge in sneaker designs inspired by this iconic event. Brands are harnessing this global stage to release unique and captivating sneaker designs, often through imaginative themes, collaborations, and even on-the-nose colourways. The Air Jordan 1 High OG “Metallic Gold” subtly rides this trend with its luxurious gold accents and somewhat of a medal of its own.

A Closer Look At The Sneaker

This noteworthy pair showcases a stunning combination of “Black,” “Metallic Gold,” and “Sail” across its build – a look that might remind sneaker enthusiasts of the Black/Gold “Melo” Jordan 1 PEs from 2014, albeit with a leather makeover.

The predominantly “Black” upper sets the stage for the elegant “Metallic Gold” details that grace the toe box, side Swooshes, ankle flap, and heel counters.

Enhancing its luxe appeal, the sneaker features an all-gold Jumpman hang tag effortlessly draped on the laces like a medal of honour. Completing this luxurious design, a “Sail” midsole sits atop a gum semi-translucent rubber outsole, offering a picture-perfect finish.

This may not be the first, second, or even the third time the Air Jordan 1 silhouette has donned black and metallic gold, but this colourway truly stands out as winner in our books.
