For fans of the Jordan Brand, especially those who adore the iconic Air Jordan 1 silhouette, the anticipation for the upcoming 2025 releases is certainly palpable. With the brand revisiting some of its most beloved colourways and collaborations from the past to celebrate the model’s 40th anniversary this year, we’ve curated a list of Air Jordan 1s that we’re still hoping will make a surprise comeback in 2025. Let’s take a nostalgic journey and revisit some of the fantastic Air Jordan 1s that we think deserve a revival this year.
Air Jordan 1 Low SE “Concord”
In 2023, Jordan Brand turned their most popular Air Jordan 11 colourway into a sleek special edition low-top Air Jordan 1 sneaker. The sneaker has a pure white leather base and glossy black patent leather overlays akin to its renowned predecessor. And to ensure that sneakerheads don’t mistake the connection to the original colourway, dark violet branding on the insoles finishes the pair’s take on the 1995 original.
Why the colourway deserves a comeback: Although these sneakers were released only a few years ago, the Air Jordan 1 Low SE “Concord” has a timeless look that we can’t get enough of, much like the classic Air Jordan 11 colourway itself.
Released in: 2023

Nike SB x Air Jordan 1 High “LA to Chicago”/”NYC to Paris.”
The Nike SB and Air Jordan 1 collaborations have always been about pushing the boundaries of design, and the ‘LA to Chicago/NYC to Paris’ series is a testament to that. These sneakers feature painted, wear-away uppers that symbolise the global influence of skate culture. For instance, the ‘LA to Chicago’ design starts with the LA Lakers team colours but gradually reveals the ‘Chicago’ hue underneath once the uppers fade. Similarly, the ‘NYC to Paris’ design fades from a white, light bone, and black upper, representing NYC to expose ‘Crimson Tint’ and ‘Hyper Pink’ underneath as a nod to the City of Lights.
Why the colourway deserves a comeback: The storytelling behind these two designs distinguishes them above and beyond your ordinary Jordan 1 colourway. Plus, you get two different looks from one shoe. Who doesn’t want the versatility and uniqueness that these sneakers offer?
Released in: 2019

Just Don x Air Jordan 1 High
Jordan Brand is always keen to commemorate a special event on the calendar, and in 2013, they did just that with the release of the Don x Air Jordan 1 High. The brand collaborated with Don C, the owner of RSVP and former manager of Kanye West, to release an AJ1 made of nubuck and python snakeskin with African print details. Since only 37 pairs were up for auction online, it was easy to miss out on these, but at least the money raised benefitted the Big Brothers Big Sisters organisation.
Why the colourway deserves a comeback: Given that Jordan Brand is reviving some of its previous limited-edition releases, we can’t help but hope that the Don x Air Jordan 1 High will eventually be part of the lineup (perhaps even a re-release for Black History Month). The premium materials and sleek black colourway make these a timeless and versatile sneaker.

Air Jordan 1 High OG “Hyper Royal”
In the summer of 2021, Nike unveiled the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Hyper Royal” for sneakerheads to show off. The white leather upper with faded blue suede overlays highlights the sneaker’s worn-out appearance. Conversely, the padded collar and Swoosh have neutral grey accents that subtly contrast with the overall style.
Why the colourway deserves a comeback: Weathered sneakers have become a popular trend in recent years, and the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Hyper Royal” ‘s combination of white and faded blue is a stylish take on this trend.

SoleFly x Jordan 1 Retro High “Art Basel Black”
Jordan Brand has worked closely with SoleFly over the years. Yet despite all of their popular releases, the “Art Basel Black” hue is still one of their most popular styles. Of course, the black and green patent leather sneaker was a limited-edition release made in commemoration of Art Basel Miami, and only friends and family were fortunate enough to own one.
Why the colourway deserves a comeback: This SoleFly x Jordan 1 Retro High “Art Basel Black” colourway is definitely up there with some of the most coveted sneaker releases in recent years. Many sneakerheads would undoubtedly be thrilled to get the opportunity to own a pair of these classic Air Jordan 1 sneakers in 2025 without having to pay the hefty resale price.
Released in: 2018

Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Pollen”
This black and yellow colourway is reminiscent of one of Nike’s most iconic releases from the ’90s, the Wu-Tang Dunks. Sure, it lacks the hip-hop group’s distinct branding, but other than that, its black base and vibrant yellow overlays are strikingly similar to the popular Wu-Tang Clan look.
Why the colourway deserves a comeback: With the Wu-Tang Dunks returning last year (2024), we wouldn’t mind seeing the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Pollen” get some love as well for those who missed out on the Wu-Tang Dunks.
Released in: 2021
Where can you buy them? This bold colourway can be found on Amazon, eBay, andStockX.
Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Washed Black”
Another 2023 release that many sneakerheads would like to see reintroduced is the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Washed Black.” The high-top features a white leather upper, grey suede overlays and Swoosh, and a lighter grey suede on the high-cut collar. It may not be as showy as some of the previously mentioned sneakers, but it is as versatile and timeless as they come.
Why the colourway deserves a comeback: This underappreciated colourway is a timeless and understated addition to any sneaker rotation. It is easy to style thanks to its neutral hues, but its luxurious materials make it particularly drool-worthy.

While these highly sought-after Air Jordan 1 colourways may not be re-released in 2025, sneakerheads can look forward to plenty of other iconic colourways in 2025. This year’s Jordan releases include a reinvented UNC AJ1, the Air Jordan 1 High ’85 “Bred,” and even more popular AJ1 High colourways reimagined in low-top form.
