With the upcoming release of the latest Smurfs movie in 2025, PUMA has once again partnered with renowned singer/songwriter/actress/businesswoman Rihanna. The duo already has an ongoing partnership, now extended with the latest FENTY x PUMA x Smurfs release.
The FENTY x PUMA x Smurfs Collection
The FENTY x PUMA Smurfs collection draws inspiration from its world. Featuring a general blue Smurf aesthetic, it’s complemented by plenty of polka dots and mushrooms, bringing its iconic animated world into tangible elements. This is spread across an extremely fun collection, which includes a sneaker silhouette, playful stitched sweats, as well as cozy and comfortable oversized knits for all ages.
The collection is headlined by the PUMA Avanti sneaker. It’s featured in a denim upper and a large foldover tongue design. Additionally, the silhouette features a transparent outsole, which includes a mushroom print underneath. And adding a splash of Smurfette charm, the red PUMA logo on the rear is featured in polka dots.
Another standout from the collection is the Knit Crew Sweat. As with many of the items in the collection, it’s inspired by the world of Smurfette. For this piece, it features Smurfette’s home in the Smurf Village surroundings. Its mix of mustard, green and sky blue blends creatively for the “Day Dream” colourway. A matching Knitted Sweatpants has also been added to the collection.
Additional pieces in the whole collection include kids’ and toddlers’ sweatpants in blue polka dots, long-sleeved tees, hoodies and zip-ups. Each of these pieces features a unique and custom design that ties in with the Smurf aesthetic.
Smurfs Movie
The 2025 Smurfs movie is a reboot for the franchise, which sees everyone’s favourite blue cartoon characters come to life once again on the big screen. Here’s the official synopsis:
“When Papa Smurf is mysteriously taken by evil wizards Gargamel and his brother Razamel, Smurfette leads the Smurfs on a mission into the real world to save him. With the help of new friends, the Smurfs must discover what defines their destiny to save the universe.”
