Update 14 August, 2025: Nigel Sylvester’s upcoming Air Jordan 1 collab is expected to be a low-top version of his unreleased sample. The shoes have scuffed black leather uppers with sail Swooshes and midsoles for a aged feel. Also included is a splash of red on the outsole and his “Bike Air” branding on the tongue. Only 25, 000 pairs will be dropping via SNKRS US. Expect them to arrive on August 16, 2025 for $165 USD.

Original article: Even before Nigel Sylvester formally joined Jordan Brand in 2021, the BMX star was already working with the renowned footwear company on highly sought-after releases. His first-ever collaboration with the label was an Air Jordan 1 High covered in distressed leather and scuff marks inspired by the wear and tear on his sneakers while performing tricks. Now, more than half a decade later—and following a successful year collaborating on the new Air Jordan 4 RM model—Nigel Sylvester returns with a fresh rendition of the Air Jordan 1, this time in low-top form.

A Closer Look At The Design

Though the entire design specifics are unknown at this moment, @zsneakerheadz reveals a confirmed colour scheme of Black, Muslin, and Varsity Red for the upcoming release. Other aspects expected to return include the small Swoosh at the forefoot and “Bike Air” branding on the tongue. Of course, no design elements have been confirmed just yet, so take these rumours with a grain of salt for now.

One thing we can always count on from Sylvester is his ability to infuse unexpected touches inspired by his life and career in his collaborations. So, fans should anticipate something special with this new sneaker collab. For now, have a look at the speculative mockups below to get a sneak peek at what the potential design could look like.

Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Nitro” Release Details

Jordan Brand and Nigel Sylvester’s new Air Jordan 1 design will be available on Nike SNKRS and at select Jordan Brand retailers in fall 2025. Pricing and size information will likely be disclosed as the release date approaches.

Other Air Jordan 1 collaborations to look forward to in 2025 include crystal-covered iterations with Swarovski, a follow-up to Unions AJ1 High from 2018, and a new colourway for the Fragment Design x Travis Scott team up. Until then, remember to follow us here at Sneaker Fortress for more updates on upcoming Air Jordan releases and sneaker news.
