For everyone who has a deep love for sneakers, this year promises an exciting array of stylish options sure to test your decision-making skills. The upcoming Jordan Brand summer collection is particularly compelling, featuring stunners such as the Air Jordan 4 “Military Blue” and Air Jordan 1 “Palomina. ” Yet, a pair that I suspect is bound to captivate many fans’ attention is the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Shadow.”

Yes, you may be right that its colour combination of “Black, ” “Medium Grey, ” and “White” does not really scream summer vibes, as we are used to expecting more warm and vibrant colourways for the season. But the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Shadow,” armed with its own arsenal of allure, is still a strong contender among this year’s summer releases.

Air Jordan 1 Low "Shadow"

For starters, its timeless colour scheme respectfully nods to the iconic 1985 version that was released with a few other colourways of Michael Jordan’s first signature sneaker back in the day. Secondly, we can’t overlook the universal appeal of the colour black. Think about it: when buying sneakers, it’s wise to choose a colour like black because it’s so versatile. And the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Shadow” wears this colour with style. Add a few grey accents, and you have a sneaker that can be easily paired with any outfit.

And when it comes to materials, the Air Jordan 1 Low’s exterior features a stunning blend of smooth and tumbled leather that gives these kicks a premium look and feel. Of course, most of the design is covered in glossy, tumbled leather sporting a deep “Black” shade. This “Black” cascades onto the nylon tongue, laces, and inner lining, creating a stylish and seamless aesthetic.

However, the toe box, Swooshes, and heel overlays all carry the ‘Medium Grey’ hue – only this time, they’re finished in smooth matte leather. This colour is further continued on the tongue and insole branding for a cohesive look.

The final touches are a clean white midsole paired with a black rubber outsole for a neat finish. The “Black” and “Medium Grey” combination may seem understated within the Jordan line-up, but their sophisticated simplicity makes them a timeless classic.
