Custom St Patrick’s Day Air Jordan 5 Sneakers – Feel Lucky

Custom St Patrick’s Day Air Jordan 5 Sneakers - Feeling Lucky

Who doesn’t love a good Saint Patrick’s Day celebration? While it’s a commemoration of the arrival of Christianity in Ireland and is celebrated on the day that Saint Patrick, the foremost patron saint of Ireland, St Patrick’s Day is celebrated all around the world on March 17th and is known as the day when folks around the world celebrate Irish culture, wear all-green and go out on the town. We designed these gorgeous St Patrick’s Day Air Jordan 5 sneakers to celebrate the upcoming holiday.

Of course, these sneakers take on the classic Lucky Green and Gold colourway you expect for most St Patrick’s Day celebrations. Still, this colourway incorporates these colours in a gorgeous and understated way. We didn’t want to design anything too gaudy or loud, and we achieved a beautiful and simple pair of sneakers for the celebration.

Starting from the bottom, the outsole takes on the typical Air Jordan 5 look, where the sole is split into different sections dominated by a certain shade from the colourway. The tip of the outsole is a gorgeous deep black, while the mid-section is covered in a layer of semi-translucent rubber, giving it an almost ghostly sheen. The black continues towards the back, only to be topped off by an almost glowing green.

The midsole is just as interesting, housing a front and back section of lucky green before it moves into white. The white section of the sole is home to the clear window into the Air unit within, complemented ideally by the AJ5 “Shark Teeth” motif represented in stunning glittering gold.

The sneakers’ upper is a departure from the explosive and exciting sneakers you usually see in celebration of this cultural holiday, taking on a muted and respectful tone.

The upper is largely made of gorgeous premium nubuck, which is so plush that it almost has a shiny texture. The sneakers’ overlays are pretty evenly split between Black and Lucky Green.

The black starts at the front, covering the toe box and the mudguard. The midsection of the sneakers is lucky green, making up the overlay that surrounds the TPU quarter of the sneakers and surrounds the plastic lace units throughout the sneakers.

Finally, black returns for the entire heel section of the St Patrick’s Day Air Jordan 5 sneakers, including the heel counter and the collar area. Black is also represented throughout the plastic that houses the laces, the laces themselves, and the tongue. A golden four-leaf clover, which has somewhat become the symbol of Ireland, marks the heel area in gorgeous gold, bringing the eye back to the glittering shark teeth on the midsole.

The inner lining of the sneakers tops us off by bringing in a little white once again, which helps to ground the sneakers by matching the midsole and bringing back a lighter element.
