As much as we love Halloween-themed sneakers, their spooky aesthetic often restricts their use to the month of October. However, this “Halloween Tearaway” Air Jordan 1 Low by John Trottier (@johnnyskicks_) and Yankee Kicks (@yankeekicks ) offers a more subtle approach to the seasonal theme while throwing in a few tricks and treats, which many will appreciate.

A Closer Look At The Sneaker

Based on the sneaker’s name, we can infer that the entire design is initially covered in paisley fabric, which can be ripped off to give the wearer a unique and customised look.

The right foot is covered in orange paisley fabric, while the left foot is covered in a dark black variant. However, once stripped, both sides reveal a hairy white base beneath, which adds a nice textural contrast to the shoe.

In addition, both pairs share details like the dual-toned Swooshes, rope laces, and black and white sole unit to unify the overall look.

But, to be honest, as much fun as this pair is, little about the design stands out as particularly Halloween-themed. Aside from a colour scheme that is vaguely reminiscent of the Nike Dunk Low “Halloween” releases from 2021 and 2022, there are no real references to the spooky season in this design. Of course, that’s not necessarily a bad thing. This simply means that you can wear the style beyond just the spooky season. So, if you’ve been searching for a sneaker that pays homage to Halloween without being over the top, we think you may have found the one.

How To Purchase The “Halloween Tearaway” Air Jordan 1 Low
