The Original Ben & Jerry’s Nike SB Dunk Low Sneakers
For those who might not have seen it before, the well-known and loved ice cream brand has created a pair of sneakers.
The original pair was a cheeky nod to the dairy cows involved in making ice cream, with greens to represent the pastures, bright blue skies, furry cow-print panelling and a bright yellow Nike Swoosh logo that had dripping details like ice cream melting. Named the Chunky Dunky sneakers, the sneakers came out on the 26th of May, 2020.

“Neapolitan”
John Trottier (@johnnyskicks_) posted a pair of stunning custom sneakers they had designed based on the original Chunky Dunky sneakers by Ben & Jerry’s and Nike on Instagram.
Keeping many of the same design elements but improving them for the “Neapolitan” colourway, these sneakers look good enough to eat.
Starting with the base of the sneakers, we see the amazing strawberry pink of the Neapolitan trio on the outsole. Following up from the pink outsole is the creamy midsole.
Moving up, it’s impossible to ignore the Nike Swoosh logo, which has tripled, now sporting the vanilla, chocolate and strawberry colours, but still sporting the drips of melted ice cream on the bottom.
Trottier decided to keep the stunning furry panelling, but this time swapping out the black and white of the Friesian cow to the warm brown and white of the common dairy cow, a perfect choice for matching the chocolate and vanilla colour palette. The fur panelling on the lace stays and travels up the sneakers’ tongue.
Beneath the dairy cow panelling is a creamy brown, just a touch darker than the midsole, while the soft-touch laces of the sneakers match the creaminess of the midsole.
Strawberry pink can be seen on the heel before it moves up to the chocolaty brown of the heel tab.
