Nike’s Brain-Stimulating Mind Shoes Are Back March 16 — Here’s Every Colorway

Nike’s experimental Mind 001 and Mind 002 sneakers—designed to improve focus and relaxation—are returning on March 16 with six colorways.

If you missed the Nike Mind 001 and Mind 002 every single time they dropped this year, you are not alone. These things have sold out consistently since they launched at the start of 2026, which says a lot about shoes that are essentially trying to rewire your brain through your feet.

The restock lands Monday, March 16, on Nike’s website, and this time you have six colorways to choose from across both silhouettes. The Mind 001, which is the mule, comes back in black, gray and red. The Mind 002, the full sneaker, returns in black, gray and khaki. Pricing stays the same: $95 for the 001 and $145 for the 002.

What Are Nike’s “Brain-Stimulating” Mind Shoes?

Now, what actually makes these shoes worth chasing past a bot and a sold-out page? Both use a series of nodules built into the outsole that target specific pressure points connected to key regions of the brain. Nike’s Mind Science Department, which is staffed by actual neuroscientists, designed them to create sensations of calm and focus before and after athletic performance.

Dr. Matthew Nurse, Nike’s vice president and chief science officer, put it plainly: “For 45 years, Nike has studied the body in motion — how muscles fire, how joints move, how oxygen fuels performance. Now, we’re expanding into the mind. By studying perception, attention and sensory feedback, we’re uncovering how the brain and body work together. It’s not just about running faster — it’s about feeling more present, focused, and resilient. That’s the next frontier of performance.”

Shoes that calm you down. Wild concept, genuinely interesting execution.

Hiroshi Fujiwara’s Fragment Nike Mind 001 and Mind 002 Collaboration

Alongside the restock news, Nike confirmed that Hiroshi Fujiwara, founder of Fragment, has already put his hands on both silhouettes through his Fragment Concept Testing project. His versions of the Mind 001 and Mind 002 dropped exclusively at Fragment retail on March 14 and go global on SNKRS and select retailers on March 19.

Fragment’s Experimental Take on the Nike Mind 002

Hiroshi flipped the Mind 001 into a black colorway with blue foam nodes, and for the Mind 002 he went further, swapping the upper materials entirely. “I approached the Nike Mind 002 from an experimental perspective — wondering what would happen if we combined it with completely different materials, swapping the existing upper to something else,” Hiroshi said. “The result is almost an entirely different product. It’s a sneaker I’d want to wear in the summer.”

Hiroshi’s relationship with Nike stretches back to the late 1990s, and he was a founding member of the Nike HTM collective alongside Tinker Hatfield and Mark Parker. He has worked on the Air Jordan 1, Nike Air Force 1, Nike Dunk and plenty more, so his take on the Mind series carries some weight. “When I first started working with Nike in the late ’90s, I learned how the brand was constantly creating new sneakers for athletes using the latest technology,” he said. “Both Liquid Max and Nike Mind feel very much like ‘true Nike’ products in that sense.”

For the restock on the 16th, set your alarms, check Nike.com, and maybe try to keep your brain calm enough to actually check out before the site crashes.
