We are a green light for the second season of Netflix’s surprise lockdown hit, Squid Game. As part of the celebrations, Netflix has partnered with renowned sportswear brand PUMA for the PUMA x Netflix Squid Game collection, featuring a mix of sneakers, apparel and tie-in accessories.
PUMA has recently dropped a few brilliant collaborations, including the TMNT x Puma Melo MB.04 Pack and Ghostbusters x PUMA Suede XL Pack. The award-winning series Squid Game returns to our TV screens on Boxing Day, 26 December 2024. This collection celebrates the series’ debut with a dual but contrasting collaboration.

There are two sneakers that make up the collection, both of which feature unique themes from the show’s games. The first of these is the classic Easy Rider, which takes it theme from the show’s most viral ‘red light, green light’ game. It is featured in a green upper and a red PUMA Formstrip. However, looks can be deceiving. The green panels, when scratched off, reveal a red colourway underneath. This beautifully showcases the concept of the game. Additional detailing from the show includes a Young-hee doll hangtag.
The second sneaker in the collaboration is the Squid Game Suede. It takes its theme from the chaotic stair room. The room is filled with bright colours, which are transferred onto the sneaker using zig-zag overlays. These zig-zag patterns are extended beyond the upper to the insole as well.
In addition to the sneakers, PUMA has also included a mix of apparel to tie in with the collaboration. This includes PUMA’s classic T7 Tracksuit, which has been transformed into the infamous uniforms from the show in teal-green. The collection also features a mix of hoodies, graphic tees and track pants. Each of the apparel pieces includes hidden Easter Eggs from Squid Game. Lastly, the collection is rounded off with some accessories, including backpacks and caps.
The PUMA x Netflix Squid Game collab is set to launch on 12 December 2024. It’ll be available online at PUMA.com, PUMA Retail stores, and various retailers.
