Custom sneaker artists are a massive reason why sneakerheads worldwide have awesome sneakers to wear and celebrate the Wizarding World. What better way to celebrate your place in the Wizarding World than with some stunning Harry Potter x Nike SB Dunk Low shoes? @dope_don_designs has done it again, creating a beautiful pair of custom sneakers.

It would be easy for a custom artist to plaster the sneakers in bright red and golden yellow all over them, but that would make for an incredibly loud pair of sneakers. @dope_don_designs always has a mind for proportion and wearability, and he makes a pair of sneakers inspired by a concept but not dominated by it, and that is precisely what he has done with this pair as well.

Starting from the bottom, we see that Dariyn Enriquez has decided to fully represent Harry Potter’s House with Gryffindor, representing colours like red and gold, starting with a golden yellow on the outsole of the Nike SB Dunk Low sneakers that is mirrored on the top with the Nike SB Dunk Low tongue to create some exciting balance in the sneakers.

Moving up from the outsole, the midsole introduces the first instance of a velvety matt black that permeates the sneaker, anchoring the colourway throughout. The black moves up from the heel of the midsole throughout the tip, the mudguard, the lace unit with matching laces, and finishing off with the inner lining of the sneakers.

The toe box of the sneakers is a textured leather that has been designed with knit-like stripes that emulate the lovely red family sweater that Molly Weasley tends to knit for her family and for Harry, all of whom (except Percy in later years) found themselves in Gryffindor as if it was a family tradition. The same pattern is introduced on the quarter of the sneakers, but this time, making a lateral pattern instead of a horizontal one, creating an exciting element of movement within the panels of the sneaker without actually having to change much.

The Nike Swoosh, standing starkly against the quarter’s red, is a black body with a golden yellow border that perfectly matches the midsole and outsole combination.

Rounding up the back of the sneakers, we see a stunning introduction of brown, starting with the leather NIKE heel tab. The heel tab appears over a section of red and gold striped leather that matches the Gryffindor scarf that many of the House’s students can be seen wearing when supporting Quidditch matches.

Speaking of Quidditch, a sport that Hogwarts students take part in on their flying brooms, Harry’s Nimbus 2000, the cutting-edge broom that he rides in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, appears front and centre on the heel as a silhouette, paired with the lightning bolt that is a clear sign of Harry Potter being The Boy Who Lived.

Finally, near the tip, we see the HP logo that we know and love for being the branding of the book, movie, game and entertainment universe that took the world by storm, appearing in red and gold, the final mark of the Gryffindor house.

If you have a friend who has done their Pottermore test and turned out to be Gryffindor, why not spoil them (or yourself) this Christmas with this stunning pair of Harry Potter x Nike SB Dunk Low sneakers?

Would you wear these Harry Potter x Nike SB Dunk Low shoes or buy them for a Gryffindor friend?
