Katt Williams Wore a $15,000 Jordan 1 on Netflix That Nike Never Released to the Public

Katt Williams stepped onto the Netflix stage in a pair of Jordan 1s that Nike never sold to the public — and they'll cost you up to $15,000 to own.

When Katt Williams dropped Woke Foke on Netflix in May 2024, the comedy world paid attention — but sneakerheads zeroed in on something else entirely. Williams took the stage in a pair of Jordan 1 Retro High “Legends of Summer Glitter” sneakers that Nike never released to the public, dripping in red glitter leather and worth up to $15,000 on the resale market. Here’s everything you need to know about the rarest shoes in the room.

What Makes the Jordan 1 Legends of Summer Glitter So Expensive

Paired with his full black and red suit, Katt Williams was seen wearing a gorgeous pair of Jordan 1 Retro High sneakers on stage, glittering perfectly under the lights of the comedy stage when his comedy special Katt Williams: Woke Foke was released on Netflix on the 4th of May 2024.

But we aren’t here to talk about Netflix specials; you can hop over to our other site: Fortress of Solitude for that. We are here to talk about these gorgeous sneakers. The Jordan 1 High OG “Legends of Summer Glitter” sneakers are an unreleased colourway that is incredibly difficult to come by.

The sneakers were created for Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake’s 2013 Tour, “Legend of Summer.” They are gorgeous, made of premium leather, and have eye-catching textures.

Starting from the bottom, even the outsole and sneakers are shiny, with the outsole being a deeper gum shade and the midsole being a semi-translucent and minorly reflective red.

From there, the upper is almost entirely doused in gorgeous glittery leather, including the Swoosh, the overlay panels, and the base of the sneakers. Every detail is smothered in lustrous glitter.

Only the laces, iconic Air Jordan Wings logo on the collar, tongue tag, and inner lining are spared from the glittery treatment. The laces are plain red that matches the stitching and the midsole, while the Wings logo is deep black with reddish typography and detailing.

The tongue follows the glittery motif of the rest of the sneakers. However, the tongue tag has a white debossed leather look that matches the white breathable mesh inner lining that crests over the side.

Why Sneakerheads Are Obsessed With the Legends of Summer Glitter

We think we have made our opinion pretty clear throughout this article, but these sneakers are GORGEOUS. While they might be a little gaudy and over the top for some people, we are definitely among those who spare no expense at the chance of owning a pair.

That being said, if you are looking to add these sneakers to your collection, there will be no expenses spared in the pursuit of them.

Because of their exclusivity, in being sample sneakers that were never released to the public, nabbing a pair will cost you a pretty penny.

While initially released in 2014, these sneakers are available in limited supply from after-sale sites like Sotheby’s and StockX. Doing so can cost anywhere between $12,000 and $15,000, so be warned that adding these sneakers to your collection is a massive feat.
