Marvel, Kith, and Asics recently collaborated on a sneaker collection showcasing some of Marvel’s most notorious villains. The pack boasts designs like an ombre Green Goblin-inspired creation, a shiny silver pair dedicated to the Fantastic Four’s Silver Surfer, and even a duo pack honouring Spidey and Venom. However, a notable omission for many fans is Carnage, the symbiote serial killer known for his chaos and destruction. While the official collection may lack a pair inspired by the menacing villain, sneaker designer Javornie Brathwaite has created an impressive alternative: the custom “Carnage” Nike Dunk Low.
A Closer Look At The Sneaker
One thing that makes Carnage instantly distinct is his vibrant red and black colour scheme, which is perfectly captured in Brathwaite’s custom sneaker design.
Red leather envelops the base, and black painted accents encircle the shoe, mimicking Carnage’s symbiote tendrils. The signature Nike Swooshes on each side are highlighted in white, and intricate tendril details emerge from the edges, adding a dramatic flair.
The right tongue features a distinctive “Carnage” tag, while the left tongue showcases a symbiote-inspired Swoosh. The design also includes a black midsole paired with a red rubber outsole that beautifully ties the whole theme together.
It should go without saying: if you’re a long-time Marvel enthusiast, adding these sneakers to your collection is an absolute no-brainer.
