You don’t have to search too long online to come across a design envisioning what a Louis Vuitton x Air Jordan 1 collaboration would look like. The internet is chock-full of customs and concepts featuring the iconic ’80s basketball shoe draped in Louis Vuitton’s signature monogram print, most often from heel to toe. But Clément Petit of Small Customs has come up with a more subtle and distinctive spin on what the team-up could offer sneakerheads. And it may just be our favourite interpretation yet.
A Closer Look At The Sneaker

Clément fully embraced the “less is more” philosophy with this look. He chose to incorporate LV’s monogrammed leather (repurposed from a vintage bag) only on the shoe’s ankle flap and nowhere else.
The rest of the design takes on a blend of white and light brown leather, with a strip of tan suede on the eyestays and heel. Other noteworthy details include chocolate brown leather Swooshes attached in Off-White’s deconstructed style, plus tiny gold LV buttons that match the gold aglets on the laces.
Sure, it’s a lot different from the usual Louis Vuitton customs we see, but we kind of prefer the subtlety in the look. It feels more like what an official LV and Jordan collaboration would offer.
Is The Louis Vuitton x Air Jordan 1 “Classic” Available For Purchase?

Unfortunately, this stunning design was a one-of-one creation made for one of Clément Petit’s clients. But if you’re interested in a similar design, you can reach out to the custom sneaker artist on Instagram at @small.custom or email him at contact.smallcustom@gmail.com.
In the meantime, you can look through more Louis Vuitton-inspired AJ1 designs, from custom kicks made from Virgil Abloh’s “Prism” bags to low-tops featuring the famous LV monogrammed brown leather and even designs inspired by their transparent bags.
