After what feels like forever (six years to be exact), Stranger Things is finally wrapping up with a three-part Season 5 finale dropping November 26, December 25, and December 31, 2025. Netflix is clearly going big, and not just on the streaming front. Teaming up with Nike again, the series is dropping a spooky, retro-inspired Stranger Things x Nike Dunk Low collab for Holiday 2025. And yes, they’re exactly what you’d imagine Eleven might wear if she ever made it to a Nike store.
Of course, this isn’t Nike’s first time in Hawkins. Back in 2019, the sportswear giant released a Stranger Things pack featuring Hawkins High and Upside Down-inspired pairs. But this time, Nike is tapping deeper into the lore, dropping two new colorways that pull from the show’s darker vibes.

The first pair, and the one we’ve actually seen, is the “Phantom” colorway (style code: IH6766-001), blending Phantom, Midnight Navy, and College Grey with accents of Lemon Drop and Varsity Red. Think cracked leather, reversed Nike logos, and handwritten details straight out of a Demogorgon’s sketchbook. There’s even “Nike 1987” branding stitched into the collar, a nod to the year the final season takes place. Faux-aged laces, scuffed midsoles, and an upside-down Swoosh (kind of — it’s on the tongue) round out the haunted Hawkins aesthetic.
The second colorway of the Stranger Things x Nike Dunk Low collab is still under wraps. But based on the Black, Speed Red, Anthracite, and Varsity Red palette (style code: IH6766-002), expect something that leans more Vecna-core than varsity vibes. Both pairs are priced at $155 USD and will be available at Nike.com and select Nike Sportswear retailers later this year.

But while the concept is killer, the design has divided both fans of the show and sneakerheads. Redditors had thoughts:
“They could have done so much more with the Upside Down theme,” one user wrote.
“Should have flipped the swoosh upside down at least,” said another.
They’re not wrong either. If Nike was willing to add burn-away textiles and cracked leather, why stop short of flipping the iconic Swoosh on the side panel? It would have been an epic nod to the show.

Still, others are fully on board and excited about the release:
“I’m definitely going to try to get a hold of these. I’m not even a massive Stranger Things fan. These shoes just look dope.”
And that’s kind of the point. You don’t need to be a diehard for the Stranger Things x Nike Dunk Low collab to hit. It taps into vintage sneaker culture, taps into the show’s timeline (1987), and gives you enough wearability to stunt with or without a Hellfire Club tee.

Meanwhile, the Duffer Brothers are teasing major revelations in the final season. Ross Duffer previously revealed, “The last remaining questions that are answered in that document, we’ve punted a couple of those to have some big reveals in Season 5.” So expect emotional damage.

Will you be grabbing a pair? Or is this one collab that should have stayed in the Upside Down?
