Nike is no stranger to spooky sneaker drops when October rolls around. Every Halloween, the Swoosh dusts off its skeleton stencils and gets to work. Remember the Air Force 1 Low “Purple Skeleton” from 2021 or the X-Ray vibes on the Zoom Kobe 5 Protro in 2024? But this year, Kevin Durant is stepping up to the coffin… I mean, court… with the Nike KD 18 “Halloween,” and it’s giving Slim Reaper vibes.

Dropping on October 21, 2025, the KD 18 “Halloween” doesn’t just look cool. It glows in the dark. The outsole lights up like a jack-o’-lantern with fresh batteries. And if you’re into subtle scares, check the skeleton hand stretched across the nubuck overlay, creeping its bony fingers up the eyelets. It’s weirdly stylish and weirdly awesome.

Inspired by KD’s longtime nickname, “Slim Reaper,” this sneaker leans into the grim aesthetic without going full haunted house. The upper is dressed in all-black mesh and nubuck, with a leather tongue for that premium feel. Nike also added a Swoosh outlined in Sail on the lateral side.

So what makes this stand out in the graveyard of Halloween-themed sneakers? Simple. It doesn’t feel like a costume. The KD 18 “Halloween” can pull double duty. Meaning you can rock them during a pickup game or casually wear them at your local Halloween bash. It’s wearable, not too gimmicky.

If history tells us anything, themed sneakers like this don’t stick around long. The Nike KD 18 “Halloween” will probably go faster than candy on Halloween night.
