After the success of Nike’s collaboration with Sony on Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, with the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Origin Story”, the two companies are continuing their partnership in Spider-Man: Far From Home. In the film, audiences will see that Peter Parker wears Nike Air Max 1 sneakers in the white/black/wolf grey-Gunsmoke colourway.
Nike Air Max 1 ‘Wolf Grey’
Released late in 2018, the Tinker Hatfield-designed Air Max 1 ‘Wolf Grey’ features a white mesh upper with colour-blocked Wolf Grey leather and Gunsmoke suede overlays. You’ve seen these before, but probably not in these colours. First released in 1987, the Air Max 1 was the first shoe to display Nike’s revolutionary Air-Sole unit in the heel and has continued to evolve over the years with new colourways and material variants. Continuing Nike’s rollout of the classic silhouette, the sneaker currently retails for around $120 but is already selling out at most retailers across the world.
Peter Parker’s Nike Shoes Spider-Man: Far From Home
In Sony’s Spider-Man sequel, Peter Parker can be seen wearing the Nike Air Max 1 sneakers throughout the video while travelling abroad and interacting with Mysterio, the film’s villain. While it hasn’t achieved the popularity of Spider-Verse’s Air Jordan 1 yet, don’t be surprised to see these becoming collectables.
It looks like Peter Parker, Spider-Man, or Sony Pictures have a thing for Nike Air Max 1 sneakers and Jordans. Either way, we love seeing The Webhead rock these cool kicks.
