The original Sony PlayStation console is now 30 years old. The grey box that gave us Actua Soccer, Crash Bandicoot, and Tomb Raider has officially hit middle age. To mark the milestone, PlayStation and Reebok have teamed up for one of the boldest sneaker collaborations of the year. The three-shoe anniversary pack dropping this October has everyone talking.
Thankfully, Reebok didn’t just slap a logo on boring sneakers and push up the prices. Each sneaker in the collection has been tied to the exact region where the console first launched back in the mid-90s. Japan gets the Instapump Fury 94, the U.S. gets the Pump Omni Zone II, and the U.K. gets the Workout Plus. Every shoe carries a grey upper that mirrors the PlayStation console itself, complete with vintage logos, controller button motifs, and hidden details for fans who know their history.

“This collection is a time machine,” said Mubi Ali, Reebok’s global senior product marketing manager. “It’s for the after-school music TV kids: grunge in their headphones, wheels at their feet, and a dial-up world that felt wide open. We’ve brought those memories to life in every stitch, lace, and pump.”
The Instapump Fury 94, designed by Steven Smith, might be the standout of the pack. Released the same year as the Japanese PlayStation launch in 1994, it returns in tonal grey with a pump ball that now reads “Press Play,” a tongue that looks like a memory card, and hidden text inside with the date “1994年12月3日.” Retailing at ¥37,000 JPY, this Japan-only drop will be available from Beams on October 24.

Across the Pacific, the Pump Omni Zone II lands at CNCPTS in New York City on October 17. Priced at $220, it comes with a pump ball in PlayStation colors, two lace sets with metal tips, and the date “9/9/1995” tucked inside to mark the U.S. launch. There’s even a touch of retro yellowing on the midsole for that true mid-90s vibe.
The U.K. closes out the trilogy with the Workout Plus, retailing at £150 and dropping via END. on October 15. Complete with two lace options, a removable lacelock cable (a nod to controller cords), and “9/29/1995” stitched inside, it’s the cleanest, most understated of the pack. Expect these to sell via raffle—because of course they will.

All three sneakers arrive in packaging styled after the original PlayStation console. Good luck grabbing them before everyone else.
