What time is it? It’s time for Gwen Stacy to join the Spider-Verse-inspired sneakers. Our brilliant designer here at Fortress of Solitude, Brandon Krige, did it again, perfectly representing the character of Gwen in this pair of Spider-Gwen Air Jordan 11 sneakers.

Gwen Stacy is one of the exceptional characters who has taken on the moniker of Spider-Woman in her time but is more often known as Spider-Gwen or Ghost Spider. As a superhero, she has the powers of Peter Parker because she was the one to be bitten by the radioactive spider in her universe. Still, she holds on to her past as a skilled dancer, her past experience tying into her ability to be a graceful and flexible hero.
Starting from the bottom, we can see the electric blue of Spider-Gwen’s ballet slippers, which have been transferred onto the sneakers as rubber outsoles. The look of this outsole is unique in that you can’t tell if it’s meant to be opaque or semi-translucent, but the look suits the sneakers.
Moving up from the outsole, the midsole is a slightly ridged white rubber. The decision to have this texture shine through on the midsole is brilliant as it perfectly matches the cross-hatch-like pattern seen on Gwen’s suit in the elegant but fun style of the Spider-Verse films.

The Air Jordan 11 silhouette’s patent leather upper is a perfect choice for representing Spider-Gwen. To fit with her suit, the patent leather is a shiny black that perfectly matches Gwen’s majority black suit, which also has a shiny sheen.
The rest of the upper is white tumbled leather rather than a patent or a smooth. The Air Jordan 11 silhouette is usually made of a flat panel piece that wraps around the heel, a separate panel that makes up the upper part of the sneaker, and the straps that make up the lace stays.
The lace stays have a pink shadow around each of them, showing the depth of field for the sneakers and representing the faded lines that make up the shadow around Spider-Gwen’s eyes on her mask.
The sneaker’s laces are the same electric blue as the outsole and represent the ballet straps that lace up Spider-Gwen’s point shoes.
The tongue of the sneaker is really where the money is at. The deep pink perfectly matches the accent of the metallic Air Jordan Jumpman logo and the details hidden within her hood that feature electric blue web designs, as does the detailing on the tongue.
These sneakers are a great representation of Spider-Gwen. They are pop colours representing the stunning comic book style like the Spider-Verse.
