We’re still some way away from 2025, but Nike and Jordan Brand are already pulling out classics from the vault to get sneakerheads excited for their 40th anniversary. The Air Jordan 12 “Bloodline” returns in 2025. So does the Air Jordan 1 High ‘Bred’. 2025 will also be a big year for Michael Jordan’s fifth signature sneaker, the AJ5 – especially since it was just revealed that the legendary Air Jordan 5 “Grape” (popularly worn by Will Smith on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air) will be released in the fall, too.
A Closer Look At The Design
While specific details about the Air Jordan 5 “Grape” colourway’s execution are still under wraps for now, it is expected that the pair will be retro-ed to the original colour blocking and material specifications: White, New Emerald, Grape Ice, and Black, with Nike Air branding on the rear. Apparently, the shape of the shoe will be improved slightly, but will remain faithful to the original release.
According to the leaker, the sneaker will also come in its original packaging from the 90s.
While it’s too early to determine if these releases will help Nike and Jordan recover from their 2024 losses, it’s a promising step toward delivering the sneakers fans really desire.
