From time to time, Nike dresses up the Dunk Low in a colourway that’s hard to ignore. The upcoming “Black Spider-Man” edition firmly belongs in this category. Just envision a pair that draws inspiration from the iconic symbiote suit in Spider-Man 3. Well, Nike’s newest contribution to their Spidey-themed lineup seems to hit the mark perfectly.
A Closer Look At The Sneaker
Showcasing a look akin to the iconic web-slinging superhero’s darker attire, this Nike Dunk Low design sports a “Dark Blue” base adorned with his signature spiderweb pattern. For the overlays, you’ll find “Black” tumbled leather, adding to the dark aesthetic.
In contrast, a “Smoke Grey” hue graces the Swooshes, heel tab, and tongue branding. This subtle yet effective touch perfectly accentuates the overall theme. The look is completed with a black midsole and dark grey rubber outsole, making this sneaker both sleek and stylish.
However, you won’t spot any official Marvel branding here, as these aren’t a result of a direct collaboration with the comic giant. Instead, it looks like they may actually be part of Nike’s spooky Halloween-themed collection. What we do get, though, is a flashy glow-in-the-dark effect on the base. When the lights are low, the webbed pattern comes alive, adding an extra layer of cool to the design.
