Jordan Brand and Virgil Abloh’s collaboration on the women’s Jordan 4 Retro Off-White “Sail” was undoubtedly one of the highlights of 2020. The sneaker’s full-grain sail leather uppers, coupled with mesh accents and translucent elements on the toebox and heel—all in that muted hue—certainly made for a statement pair. But what if Jordan Brand and Off-White drew inspiration from something a tad sweeter for their AJ 4 design? Well, Kicks on Fire imagined just that with a whimsical concept for an Off-White x Air Jordan 4 “Cotton Candy” sneaker.
A Closer Look At The Sneaker
While Off-White has flirted with more playful colourways in their collaborations with Nike, including both pink and blue sneaker colourways, this “Cotton Candy” concept takes the theme to a new level.
The sneaker showcases blue leather uppers accented with pink on the wing tabs, eyelets, heel tabs, and sole unit. White is then employed for the model’s signature netting and tongue branding, maintaining a balanced aesthetic.
Naturally, Off-White’s iconic zip tie appears in pink, while the “Air” text is prominently displayed on the lateral side in bold black font. And to complete the look? A set of matching blue laces perfectly ties the colour scheme together.
Is The Off-White x Air Jordan 4 “Cotton Candy” Up For Grabs?
While this design remains hypothetical, sneakerheads can always get creative with some RIT dye and paint on a white or neutral-coloured AJ4. Just be sure not to experiment on your precious Jordan 4 Retro Off-White “Sail” sneakers, as they are still highly sought after on the resale market.
